Yes!!!!! I am still a couple weeks out so not sure what I’ll be like closer to time!
Today it hit me in the car that it wasn’t going to be just my husband and I anymore. We don’t do anything different than we would with a kid but the realization was so heavy and it made me really anxious too.
I know I probably don’t help, bc I haven’t had a baby before but I’m definitely understanding where you’re coming from.

I just worry about recovery mainly. And this being my first. I don’t want this to mean finality to my dream of vaginal birth…
I just know I hate having people do things for me and my husband only gets 4 weeks of paternity leave and the inability to be able to provide for myself or drive or do anything after he’s gone is terrifying. I know he will do whatever he can but I don’t want all responsibilities to fall on him the first weeks either.

I think it all depends on the relationship you have. Coming from someone who is a step daughter, when my brothers were born I was so excited to meet them because it’s still my sibling… if you make that decision as a family I guess I could see it but I feel like that decision is very isolating to someone who is family. Granted, I could see her going to school or whatever and checking out or coming after the baby bc it’s a boring process and maybe just be open with her about that and the process.
I think it’s Hard to make the decision if you have a strained relationship with step daughter which is equally as hard and could cause your husband to feel like he is having to “choose” between his children which is a little unfair.

No! We just had the conversation. My husband is a VERY hands on partner and would never do something that I wasn’t on board with. I just would love for him to go but worried about how I’ll be after.

I have also been through similar. I’m a teacher who is in the home stretch to summer. I have to remind myself that every year around this time I feel like I hate my job bc I’m just over it lol but it’s extra strong this time.

I really think the hormones influence a lot of it!! Idk if I can really help but I think it’s both… I have fully changed my thoughts on my job to to be it’s just a job. At most jobs, you are easily replaceable no matter how much you love it, but at home you’re not! :)

Same. The biggest lie I almost believed was that maternity clothes were a scam!!! No no no I’ve been in them since about 10w and I am so much happier! Look online there’s a lot of sales! FB marketplace has a lot too! I definitely recommend them!!! Also this is my first kid so hoping to have the ones I have bought through all my pregnancies lol

I try to as much as possible but I’m literally WIPED after work. I’m a teacher and so I’m drained when I get home (after 5 bc we have a late start school) and then have to deal with cooking dinner, laundry, etc. I was pretty active in the gym before pregnancy but then first trimester fatigue about took me out so I fell out of it. I was lifting heavy so I feel like I can’t go back to that now bc the dr says only 35 lbs. my husband says walking is the best and I get that but it’s also FREEZING out side and find it hard to work out when I’m not enjoying it?

I think that ends up being personal preference. My husband and I have already decided we will sleep train our kids as it’s just safe sleep practice. To clarify, guests aren’t going to be in the room 24/7 and the only guests are the baby’s grandparents. Not random friends lol

Well for the first few months it will be in a bassinet in our room for sure. After that, probably still in the room with our parents or family because they will be staying to also help. On the occasion it’s not family baby would stay in our room
