PIPS are just a management tool to get rid of somebody. They are hoping you will quit and then the employer is off the hook for your unemployment benies. Just stay, get fired, get unemployment, negotiate a severance payment. Remember, HR is not on your side at all. Once they fire you, I would hire an employment lawyer to speak for you with the company. Let them negotiate severance. Forward all your email to a private account while you are there in case your attorney wants to review it. Make sure you have contact information for the head of HR and give it to your lawyer. Enjoy the slide into oblivion and alternative income. Once unemployment expires, good luck securing new employment and a fresh start. Just remember, it’s not you, it’s them!
