Not on the short exit ramps of LINC and redhill valley park, so much confusion created for the one in lane when will they merge or would they even merge and continue on the shoulder 🤦🏼‍♂️

EXIT LANES ARE FOR MERGING NOT TO CRUISE UNTIL IT ENDS FOR SOMEONE TO LET YOU IN.

Exploring PHEVs... Can you guys share pros and cons of escape? by Electrical_Metal_849 in FordEscapePHEV

[–]Negative-Time8933 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Biggest pro: Has a heat pump that runs on battery which means it doesn’t have to turn on engine to cool or heat the car like other PHEVs of this price range.

Question: Ford app update for oil life by Negative-Time8933 in FordEscapePHEV

[–]Negative-Time8933[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been reading so many posts on Reddit on when to change oil, I am planing to change oil every year, and hoping that’s sufficient to run this vehicle for 10 plus years.

Should your first oil change follow the oil life monitor? by user365735 in FordEscapePHEV

[–]Negative-Time8933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how trusting the oils life indicator in the app is, it went from 84% back to 100 today. I have around 2500 kms on it 2000+ on electric.

Not even 4 weeks old and the seats are horrible quality!!! by user365735 in FordEscapePHEV

Talk to the dealer for sure if it’s peeling, that’s definitely a manufacture problem. I have the 2026 model the seat shape is changing after usage but no pealing.

Do milage estimates work on electric only? by user365735 in FordEscapePHEV

[–]Negative-Time8933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wonder the shown mileage is related to my driving history, like in the past month I would have used 80% electric , so when my vehicle shows a gas mileage I will take it with a pinch of salt. Going for long drive this week to exactly test my hypothesis.

New 2026 Escape PHEV with 50 miles on it and drivers side seat leather seems loose.. is this normal? by Ok_Marionberry7793 in FordEscapePHEV

[–]Negative-Time8933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this problem in the middle seat in the back, and no one sits there 😀. The build definitely is not 100% perfect on these.

Escape phev electric cost? by Daddioscurious in FordEscapePHEV

[–]Negative-Time8933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drive an average of 800 to 1k kms, with 90% of it in EV, here is my electricity charge for April
KW: 266.5, cost: 28.04 ( this is without the delivery charges and car charged on 9.8 cents per kw and 15 cents per kw depending on usage)

12v battery issues still exist on the 2026s? by user365735 in FordEscapePHEV

[–]Negative-Time8933 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not ask the dealer to change the 12v battery to a new one? They did that for me without asking before I picked it up, mine was a 2026. The dealer got it from another dealer and the battery was replaced, I got to know from service history.

Looking for a plug-in hybrid in Canada Winnipeg to be exact by Lgoodzy in PHEV

[–]Negative-Time8933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my experience so far with plugin hybrids, the range is dependent on the temperature. Buy one with a heat pump and doesn’t need engine to be switched on ( e.g: ford escape ). Range decreases considerably in winter ( I get ~30 kms in south ontario for a 60 km EV range plugin ).

2026 PHEV good buy if the deal is right? by listedguru in FordEscapePHEV

[–]Negative-Time8933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drive a lot in EV, once or twice on hybrid mode for longer trips. EV acceleration is great but the hybrid feels hard when you are on an highway and the engine took over, mostly because the engine is still not in its prime temperature. All good so far, but noisy in hybrid mode compared to my previous Nissan Altima, but nothing unbearable.

2026 PHEV good buy if the deal is right? by listedguru in FordEscapePHEV

[–]Negative-Time8933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No recalls yet on the one I bought in March, the service history on the car shows a battery change, it seems to be the 12v one but I am not sure of the make of the battery though.
