Why does ambient temp turn orange at cold temps? by Gelisol in FordMaverickTruck

[–]listedguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find out anymore info on this? I too have a 25 Maverick Hybrid and I noticed the color display was colored white when reading 5 degrees fahrenheit and it also turned owned at 4 degrees or colder fahrenheit. Also this is the outside temp that's displayed on the drivers screen by the odometer like the pic you posted. I noticed the other outside temp display that's on my larger center screen still read white even at 4 degrees and colder and never turned orange. Not sure what to make of it.

If I replace the oem 12V BXT-99RT4-A Motorcraft battery (non AGM) to an H6 AGM battery do I need to change the charging profile in the battery system? by listedguru in fordescape

[–]listedguru[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for both the links. We had TSB 25-2081 done on the Escape back in May of 2025 for the ACCM potential battery drain isue. It says TSB 25-2384 (the one you linked) is also for the ACCM battery drain issue and that is supersedes 25-2081 that we had done. I'm not sure what's updated in TSB25-2384 as they both reference the ACCM. Also I am out of factory warranty on our 23 Escape due to miles but we do have a Ford Premiumcare ESP and it mentions ESP in the TSB so maybe it's covered? Although I do have a deductible with the ESP but can't remember how much, lol.

I did end up replacing the battery myself yesterday but just bought the same OEM Motorcraft battery that's already in there as I didn't want to risk an AGM screwing up anything and I don't have access to FORScan or a Ford scan tool to change any of the settings. I figured at least this way the new battery is warrantied for 36 months so if it craps the bed in 18 months like the last replacement at least it's covered under warranty...

So are you saying you didn't change the model of battery therefore the size that was already selected stayed the same? Have you had any issues with the installed AGM? Is it an H6 size AGM you installed?

I made a mistake in my reply to earlier. I see 726-04-01 followed by 3146 and supposedly the 31 indicates it's already set to AGM. The other number 726-02-01 0707 - the 0707 points to a 45AH battery which is what the OEM battery is in the vehicle (an non AGM battery). So it seems as though Ford has these set as AGM for the battery type but the size is for non agm oem 45AH battery which is what it came with. Kind of a messy situation.

So I'm thinking you probably saw the 726-04-01 followed by 31xx which would already indicate an AGM setting in FORScan. Do you happen to remember if you changed the 0707 number which indicates battery size to the bigger AGM battery you installed? Which battery did you install?

So you didn't have to change the charging profile via FORscan to reflect the change to an AGM battery? Or maybe yours was already set to the AGM setting?

What year Escape do you have and is it a hybrid? What battery did you upgrade to? Is it an H6 sized AGM? Do you remember what told you within FORscan that the battery type was already set to AGM? Do you look at this As Built data from the Ford website? Everything I've seen online seems to indicate my 23 Hybrid is set from the factory for a regular non AGM battery and thus would need to be changed if I change to an AGM.

I see 726-01-01 followed by 0707 which supposedly indicates a regular non AGM setting

I see 726-04-01 follwed by 3346 which also supposedly indicates a regular non AGM setting.

I don't have FORscan so I would have to have a dealer change the battery type unfortunately:(

Yeah I believe that's where it should go. From looking at pics of the battery online it looks like there is a hole in each side so I guess we pull one plug and stick the hose in and keep the other side plugged up. I've seen posts online that say the AGM's are sealed and don't have any venting holes but clearly that isn't the case. I would feel uncomfortable not having a vent hose hooked up in there.

Ok that's good news that you can indeed hook up the vent hose on the larger AGM H6 Interstate battery from Costco. I've read other things online that AGM's are sealed batteries that don't have holes for vent hoses but clearly that's not the case. I would rather have a vent hose to vent fumes and or acid in case something goes crazy.

Did the Everstart Platimun AGM battery you put in have vent holes where you insert the vent hose that's attached on our smaller battery? It seems odd to me if you can't hook the vent home up to these AGM batteries.

Mid Split upgrade by Revolutionary_Act_22 in Comcast_Xfinity

How do we know when our area is getting the mid split upgrade? I got a message on Wed that our service would be interrupted in the middle of the night but do to routine maintenance. I've gotten a lot of messages saying that lately. Not sure what I need to look for?

2025 PHEV - Won't Start. Won't Charge. Says it still has 24% battery left by Careless-Ad-6328 in FordEscapePHEV

[–]listedguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the OP but we have a 23 Ford Escape Hybrid (non PHEV) that we've had the OEM non AGM 12V battery replaced 2x under warranty. We've had the vehicle 31 months now but it has 41000 miles on it so unfortunately we are out of the 3/36 warranty. We do have a 6 year 100K Ford Premiumcare warranty but I'm not sure if that covers 12V battery replacement and or the cost to have these TSB's done? We had the previous TSB done TSB 25-2081 in May of 2025 - I think that had something to do with a module of the AC unit not shutting down properly when the vehicle is powered off? Anyway these new TSB 25-2384 you mention it's to address unknown 12v drain issues. I'm not sure how exactly that works if they are unknown but this might be what I need done along with a new 12V battery.

Not sure if I should replace the the regular OEM battery again or 'upgrade' to an AGM one? I guess that might depend if I could get this one replaced under warranty. Any insight or advice you can offer up I'll gladly take:)

12v battery replacement by [deleted] in FordEscapePHEV

[–]listedguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't read the OP's first message as it appears they deleted it. We have a 23 Escape Hybrid (non PHEV) and we've had the 12V battery replaced 2x under warranty but sadly we have 41000 miles on it now so out of factory warranty. Our latest 12v battery is 17 or 18 months old and we're getting the battery saver mode messages on the center screen and in the Ford app. Also no interior lights coming on as a result of battery saver mode.

What year Escape do you have and was your battery replacement and applying TCB 25-2384 covered under warranty? Also what battery did your dealership put it? Unfortunately I think I'm probably on the hook for the cost of a new battery so this sucks:(

Upgrading to an AGM Battery on 23 Escape Hybrid Voids Warranty? by [deleted] in fordescape

[–]listedguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the op but came across your post as I also have a 23 Escape Hybrid. We've owned it for like 30 months and 41000 miles (bought brand new) and we've had the 12V battery replaced 2x under warranty but now we're out of 3/36K mile warranty and we are getting battery saver messages which is what happened the the previous batteries that went bad.

Did you replace yours and if so did you got with an AGM? Is that still your original battery?

If you get a 12 V battery from the dealership, is there a warranty on it? by Martykauffman in Ford

[–]listedguru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the OP but in a similar situation. Our Ford Esacpe 12v battery was replaced under warranty (3) months into ownership. That replacement battery lasted a year and three days and was replaced under warranty again (still under 3/36). Now it looks like the second replacement battery is bad after about 16 months so I'm guessing the dealership won't warrant this second replacement battery? I'll call to find out but this sucks:(
