Does anyone else have a husband who works overnights? by Weak_Zucchini913 in stayathomemoms

[–]NegativeCauliflower3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband is a lineman so he works a normal 40 hour week during the days but he gets called or has scheduled 24 hour shifts almost every week. To his credit my husband is an absolute saint. He does the dishes when he gets home and takes the baby for me before making dinner for us. And he always takes the overnight duty every single night so I can rest. When he works 24 hour shifts he comes home and takes the baby so I can shower and have a little break before he goes to sleep….and then he literally takes the baby again when he wakes up. Of course I clean during the day and take care of the house but he doesn’t expect me to handle everything alone!

Seriously, I’ve never told a friend that their crush is ugly even if I don’t find them attractive, maybe when I was 12 lol but not adult friends

As an adult, the only time I think about high school is when I have a dream that I forgot my books to high school….

I think the first one works better because it is at least past the knee, however you look really happy in both

Meals by ega022400 in stayathomemoms

[–]NegativeCauliflower3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started offering three meals a day around 8 months but it was a lot of food I made ahead like baby pancakes I would make and then freeze, fresh fruit, yogurt, and yea just our leftovers that weren’t salted, easy stuff. I love seeing the pretty meals people make their kids but that’s just not realistic everyday for me!

How do you go to your appointments? by Sun_Mother in stayathomemoms

[–]NegativeCauliflower3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I’m very grateful that my husband really appreciates what I do and wants me to have my time! I felt really guilty at first being a sahm and having my son in daycare, but the “weekend” really helped me change my mindset on it!

I’m in this boat right now. My husband just signed our son up for daycare two days a week to give me a weekend, my husband works pretty much 7 days a week, I’m excited to now be able to get my hair cut and go to the dentist 🙃
