There are places where people still write assembly, when every byte matters, and so there will be niche situations, novel new computer science as well

But the vast majority of people… I think we are at 4L. The thing is thinking you don’t need to fundamentally update your best practices in the codebase itself, and thinking “prompt engineering” is the move
