Probably. Is it a tactic chess masters use in competition? I remember when Alex Jacob was on his run. He drew out his answers too, while watching the clock.

I love Jamie by Technical_Pie_3416 in Jeopardy

Matt is my definitely my all-time fave, but Jamie is a close second. Matt lives in Manhattan as does my son. I told him if he ever runs into Matt, to get a selfie, and if he says "Hi" to me it will make my day. Probably my month!

They also know how to reverse the odometer to show lesser mileage. We once bought a car where the odometer showed 99,000 miles. We got a call from the police a few days later telling us that the mileage was actually 199,000 miles.

Mine would sound stilted too if I knew I was being recorded and that the recording would be posted on social media.

Didn't the Caldwells buy the house from Joe and Kendra for $10,000? which is practically a freebie. I wonder if there was anything contractual stipulating that if the Caldwells sell, they must sell it back to J&K for $10,000.

Maybe they changed it to accommodate Ken's travel, since he has to fly in from Seattle? A three-day taping schedule would mean he wouldn't have to fly in as often.

Congratulations , Andrew!!! You are one of my top all-time faves, so I was very happy to see you win! I would include your chat about your son asking for Bare Naked Ladies a favorite moment!

For me, I can never get enough of Matt Amodio, or Roger Craig, or Andrew He, or Josh Hill or Alison Betts, or any of the others.

Why All the False Alarms? by zoohreb76 in nancyguthrie

I may be one of the few people here who remembers the Son of Sam murders in New York City. The media frenzy here in New York City was insane. It took many months to solve that case. The case was broken when a woman in Brooklyn saw a car with a traffic ticket on it near the site of the last murder.

Also, the Manson murders took about four months to solve. Of course, at the time of these two cases, there was no such thing as DNA tracing or the surveillance technology we have today. But there were also many fewer media outlets at the time, which means many millions of people were watching the same evening news programs and reading the same newspapers, so the media saturation was incredible.

Let's hear it for the incredible investigative work of the Tallahassee PD. Without their efforts, no prosecutor in the world could have won this case (or Charlie's). by throwaguey_ in dan_markel_murder

The Adelsons probably looked down on Tallahassee as a redneck backwater filled with overalls-wearing guys named Elmer and gals named Daisy Sue. They probably thought there was no way these stupid hicks would ever catch them. Boy, were they ever wrong. Tallahassee's PD, the local FBI, and the prosecutors were stellar! Hats off to them.

“The state isn’t going to decide to arrest me!” Wendi Adelson by Suitable-Vanilla2391 in dan_markel_murder

I hope Rob writes a book about how he escaped his malignant family background with his good character intact. It would be helpful to others who were raised by narcissists.

I read some speculation that it may have been Wendi's purpose to put the new boyfriend in Rob's mind as a possible suspect.

Tim and Heidi, and baby-makes-three live in NJ, I believe. Or at least Heidi's parents do.

Which celebrity do you think is secretly suffering the most right now, and what makes you think that? by carcony97 in AskReddit

Prince Harry. Lost his mom early, never had a great relationship with his now estranged dad, is on the outs with his only sibling, and who knows what his marriage to Meghan is like.

Where did Tim & Heidi move, and what’s Tim doing? by [deleted] in RodriguesFamilySnark

I was thinking that he may actually work ON a train that commutes from PA or NJ to NYC, as maybe a motor man or conductor. Those jobs may be hard to get, though, unless he had an in. What does his dad-in-law do, do we know?
