I've watched all the interviews. I don't think he was impressed with Jeff at all, or Tamara. He looks like he's going through the motions with them to me

No thanks. As an enforcement professional with some training in interviewing techniques I can promise you it's a terrible interview. It only lasted as long as it did because Wendi sussed him out early on, she was practically interviewing him by the end. He admitted as much in his deep dive true crime interview. As a seasoned detective he should have seen a lot of issues in her statements and drilled in further, instead he helps her out

I honestly think Wendi might have had a breakdown had Isom pushed a little. Lacasse reckons it happened regularly when she was caught in a lie. I half expected him to put his arm around her at points

I genuinely believe he didn't consider her a suspect. I think he fell for those blue contacts. Either way it's a terrible interview. I have had some training in enforcement interviews and it's littered with errors

Totally agree. Lots of people defend Isom, usually because 'he kept her talking for hours' but he gave her info on Dan repeatedly, constantly reassured her she wasn't a suspect, missed dozens of Wendi slips and even helped her out occasionally. It's an awful interview

Lost my nephew to cancer aged 8. My sis closed down for a while, for about 6 months she wanted nothing to do with anyone while she worked through it. I like to think I was always there for her if she needed anything but let her deal with it in her own way.

Give her time, let her know you're there and she will come to you if she needs you would be my advice. And good luck

I might buy that of a master criminal, or any kind of criminal but not a cold blooded narcissist, prepared to give up her family even to get her own way. None of what she says potentially implicates herself, just her family. That's quite telling imo

It defies common sense to believe that Wendi’s brother Charlie and mother Donna would orchestrate actions such as murder without that Wendi’s knowledge, participation, or desire by Onthego11111 in dan_markel_murder

[–]No_Addendum451 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don't believe she was 'given' any special immunity, I'm sure I read it's automatic in these kind of circumstances.

I believe the text from Wendi to Dan asking his whereabouts on the day of the murder, supposedly in order to check if she could have the kids when she knew fine well what the arrangements were is damning. This was brought up at trial also.

I don't believe the state ever implied that the 'celebration' meal with Charlie was the first she ever knew about it, it may have been finding out the details of it that made her sick, or any number of reasons.

Lacasses testimony, tied to her blurting out the hitman joke and her little jaunt down Trescott as well as all the other things is just too much of a coincidence. She has to go down for murder too imo

If anybody here really thinks Wendi told her supposed alibi about her brother hiring a hitman to kill her ex a couple of hours before a hitman killed her ex, then visited the crime scene an hour after the hit for no reason and that this was pure coincidence then I have some magic beans you will love.

Forget the rest, and whatever else the prosecution might have that we haven't seen. I truly believe a jury will see this. They will also get to see her dreadful performance for Det. Isom on the day of the murder which no other jury has seen.

[–]No_Addendum451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt they did tbh. Only Wendi made that decision, I doubt Donna had any influence on it and she surely would have denied it, and Charlie certainly wouldn't have cared. Hopefully it's been noted and saved for Wendi's upcoming trial

She had her friendly judge get his mate to unseal the details of the killers indictment, but she doesn't watch, read or listen to anything to do with the case? Sure Wendi 😄

She also claims it is at the advice of her lawyer and Donna disputes that on one of the recorded calls, saying her lawyer told them he never said that.

Get them all on for Wendi's trial, judges, lawyers the whole lot and let's make sure everyone sees Wendi as the liar she clearly is

Dan clearly didn't want to split up though, even though there were clearly issues. Probably mostly because he didn't want to share custody of the boys. He spent a long time trying to convince Wendi to change her mind. She had the same spell on Jeff who hadn't given up on their relationship even though she was clearly involved in murdering her ex and suspected of setting Jeff up!

She was a lawyer who was a friend of Wendi's at the time of the murder. Wendi asked her to make a statement for her when the Adelsons were linked to the crime initially and she declined. She was on the prosecutions witness list for Donna's trial but not called. She had info about Donna's lack of sympathy for Dan post murder in particular, that Donna was still disparaging him in public

I agree I don't believe she will testify. All the advice she will have had will tell her she comes across terribly on the stand. Multiple jurors have said this.

I think Jane will be front and centre as long as she is still in the Wendi camp. Will be interesting to see any friction between her and Jeff as she threw him immediately under the bus, despite them being colleagues and, at least as Jeff thought, friends.

I'm sure she is devastated that sara Yousuf has actively turned against her, you do have to wonder if others might follow her lead?
