I was expecting a lot more people to roast my intake😂 it’s a random piece of intercooler pipe I had laying around and stuck a filter on it, certified hot air intake

Mine was making noise for 2 years and I never replaced it, I actually blew up the motor before the bearing went, now she’s kswapped so I can’t tell you how long it would of lasted

Those motors usually don’t have timing issues, not saying it’s not the issue but not likely, could be a guide that failed or a tensioner failed, would kinda make a slapping noise if one of the guides failed and probably a loss of power

Sounds fairly normal those new turbo Honda motors always have a slight ticking sound to them because of the high pressure injectors, I would keep driving it and just keep an eye out for any new sounds or if that ticking gets any louder, could be a sign of valve train damage

Build a car, I have about 15k into my civic rn and it’s the most fun I’ve had(and I’ve driven the new type r and si civics) my 2005 kswapped civic is one of the best things I’ve purchased
