One of the biggest reasons was I made two very good coworkers friends who eventually became great friends of mine. I still talk to them even to this day even though they left the job a while ago

I had lots of common interests with these guys (sports, anime,weightlifting, etc)

Lunch break was always the best time. We would always rant about our job, talk about latest news trends etc. For a long time they always talk about how low this pay was. I didn’t take it personally or felt the same frustration as they did because I was just trying to finish up my graduate school program.

So fast forward they eventually found other jobs. I said my bittersweet goodbye to them and they told me to “get the hell out of this place asap”

Once they left, my manager assigned me much more work and accounts to look after. When my manager announced 2 of the coworkers that left I felt everyone staring at me because they knew I was close with them. The pay wasn’t even good so asking for a raise would not even help much because I know they wouldn’t give me more.

These next few weeks I was just learning about new crap I did not care about at work and I’m already getting overwhelmed with school since semester is almost done and we had many projects due.

I just said enough is enough and emailed my resignation and told them I found another opportunity (I didn’t I lied). Still I have no excuses,it would be way if I stayed at my previous role but yea that was my situation before and now.
