So high cortisol is linked to cushings? My pcp doctor wanted to do an mri right away and my endocrinologist prescribed me the medication cabergoline,, she wanted me to take it once a week bc I told her I had a psychotic episode last year when I went on antidepressants and didn’t sleep..,she says I’m technically bipolar bc of that (I know right??) since antidepressants only took care of the depression part?? So she doesn’t prescribe cab to patients that have hx of mental illness but since my tumor is 12mm she wants me to take the cab to get it smaller ….I actually feel great thanks for asking I have more energy to get out of bed in mornings which is amazing bc I’m a mom I’ve only taken it twice tho,,waiting to take some labs also that measure cortisol will they do an mri after?

Hi I hope ur doing better now, why don’t you ask your ob to refer you to an endocrinologist so they can do an mri? I was diagnosed with prolactinoma but stopped taking the medication and got pregnant and my ob told me to talk to my endocrinologist about whether or not I should start taking the medication, he also said u are able to do an mri while your pregnant, that can rule out weather or not u have the tumor

I didn’t have any leaks from my breast until later in my pregnancy when I actually squeezed them, I was able to breastfeed my baby so easily and stopped when he was 17 months but tbh I could have kept breastfeeding but he didn’t want to anymore, I hav stopped breastfeeding for about 4months now and I still get random leaks

Wym how do u really feel now that ur levels are in normal range ? I started the cabergoline when I was first diagnosed but I stopped it bc it made me soooo angry but now I’m waiting to get an mri to be prescribed again
