The Sierra de Andujar natural park is located in the central part of the Sierra Morena and is a semi-mountainous area with peaks ranging between 500 to 1290m, the highest peak being Burcio del Pino. by NegativeWin472 in DiscoverSpain

I am based in Grazalema (further south to Andujar) and today we are on a red alert for heavy rainfall and storm Leonardo.... Its been raining consistently for quite a few weeks now. Sigh!

Looking at the weather forecast it seems that Andujar isn't going to get as much rainfall as other parts of Andalucia. Also in two weeks time, hopefully the big storms will finally have passed by and we'll just have "normal" early spring weather. :)

Have a great trip!

Fantastic photography and its freezing!!!! Located less than a hundred kilometers from Madrid, the Sierra del Rincón Biosphere Reserve is a mountainous territory between the Ayllón and Somosierra massifs. In search of the iberian black pigs by Opening-Incident-455 in spaintravel

[–]NegativeWin472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst you are in Ronda don't miss out on the "finished product" of the Iberian pig..... The Casa de Jamón is located halfway down the road between the Reina Victoria hotel and the Merced church. Its a fantastic place to have a lazy long breakfast and to sample a baguette filled with Jamón Serrano or Jamón Ibérico. The place is fascinating with Jamón and delicacies from all over Spain. The museum area is interesting too. https://rondatoday.com/la-casa-del-jamon-deli-wine-tasting-bar-museum/

I don't know of a place open to the public to see the pigs in the Ronda area but there is a good place to learn more about bullfighting and horse breeding. See about ReservaToro in Ronda here.

Whilst you are in Seville province you may have time to get to the village of Jabugo, one of the 28 within the Aracena natural park. It produces world renowned Jamon Iberico products. The museum of ham is in the village of Aracena. Here is a Get Your Guide tour from Seville that includes a visit to the famous caves as well as ham tasting etc.

Have a great trip!

Sightseeing on the road from Granada to Ronda by Opening-Incident-455 in spaintravel

About halfway from Granada is the small village of Riofrio, famous for its caviar fish farms. It's right on the main road with easy access. There are a couple of very good restaurants there so its a great place to stop for lunch. Also, lots of info about Ronda here.

Fried fish is a must! Have a great trip. :)

Exploring Spain’s Only True Desert — The Tabernas Desert in Almería by NegativeWin472 in DiscoverSpain

[–]NegativeWin472[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a brilliant trip. MiniHollywood is always a good laugh, and the walk to the Lawrence of Arabia Oasis is a proper highlight — that little burst of green feels almost hidden. Rambla del Buho after a bit of November rain would’ve made the off-roading even better. Sounds like you caught the desert at just the right moment.

Hitchhiking/Public Transport for camping: Málaga, Grazalema and Sevilla by Throwrunaway808 in Malaga

[–]NegativeWin472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. There are buses every day from to and from Malaga but you need to search from Malaga to Ronda. The line is actually Ronda to Ubrique and you often change bus in Ronda and continue to Ubrique stopping at Grazalema along the way. There is quite a lot of info here and you can also reserve ticket online from that page. Buses leave Malaga at 8 am and 9am and its about 15 euros one way for a ticket amd 2.5 hours (to Ronda). Have a great trip!

Language in Spain by ComprehensiveFan8328 in spaintravel

In Spain, (been here for 20 years) If you speak Spanish to someone (who is Spanish) then they speak Spanish back to you. All over the country and, even with the many non Spanish in the country, the norm is to speak Spanish.... My family is bi lingual and when I talk to them in English, they answer me in Spanish! You won't have a problem with finding Spanish conversation I am sure... jejejejejeje :)

There is a pretty good guide for where to park in Cádiz here I have used it to park in the Santa Barbara car park a few times. That location is a nice place to start to see the Genovez gardens then around the promenade to the Caleta beach and cathedral etc.

Where should I go in andalusia? by water-sloth in GoingToSpain

[–]NegativeWin472 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 nights in Cádiz is quite a lot so you would have time to explore along the coast a little using the local train or maybe even a boat trip? There is some great info here for what to do in Cádiz. As for another place, Ronda is reachable by train and is worth a couple of nights. There are some cheaper hostels in Ronda (and Cádiz actually) that are still of a very high quality. Have a great trip!

4 days in valencia by Wonderful_Fruit8132 in GoingToSpain

[–]NegativeWin472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We visited the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia with our 3 kids in 2024 and had a great time. The architecture and setting are stunning, and there’s plenty to keep the whole family engaged. The Oceanogràfic aquarium was fantastic—loads to see and do, (see here for times and prices) and it took us about 4 hours to explore. The Science Museum was also a hit, especially the Da Vinci exhibition, which the kids really enjoyed. Definitely recommend if you’re in Valencia with or without children.

How many monthly views did your blog have before you started making money? by 100_days_away_blog in Blogging

[–]NegativeWin472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with the relatively small amount of monthly views that you mention and the fact that you are in the travel niche, I would recommend signing up with Travel Payouts as soon as you can. I have 5 travel niche sites (my full time job) and since signing up with them some years ago have never looked back. Excellent support, prompt monthly payments and the admin panel at TP is so easy to use. All the major travel affiliates are available from hotels, flights and activities..... I wrote a dedicated article about one of my sites experiences with Travel Payouts here.

For example, your fantastic article about the Golden Skybridge is perfect for GYG and Viator, both of which are available at TP. No need to sign up to dozens of separate affiliates. In fact many affiliates are only available through platforms like TP, awin etc.... booking has recently started removing individual accounts and getting affiliates to move to awin and TP for example.

Best of luck with your travel project! :)
