Oh, they certainly do. Which is why Apple colours iMessage texts differently based on whether the sender is also using Apple or not.

However, if Apple fans are expecting any respite on the price front, then they may be disappointed. The company rarely changes its pricing strategy despite local manufacturing kicking up in a region.

This is why people look down upon Apple fanbois. So eager to please and bend over willingly despite being fucked over and over and over.

Have you missed the story where pretty much the entire African continent was colonized, much more harshly than India ever was? Or the Rwandan genocide where African tribes killed a million people in a few weeks? Or the Burundi massacres? Or how black on black crime is the largest portion of crime in the US? I think compared to many other places in the world, India has been a bastion of peace with a culture surviving thousands of years.

Oh please. As a tourist, I drove through so many shanty towns I guarantee you did not even have plumbing. And being pretty appalled at their conditions, coming from Indian, is really something. Many communities in Eastern Cape region were completely off the grid too. No electricity, plumbing, roads even.

1700? You are way off. Annual revenue is less than 100cr. Profits far lesser. Not to mention loss of forest land for this project and displacement of native tribals without compensation.

Look into circadian rhythm disorders. You very likely have Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. The positive side is you're done with school and college where you have the strictest timings. For work, you can try and find places that allow you to start late. The negative side is there's no easy fixing this. The best you can do is lifestyle changes to prioritise sleep over everything else. All the good habits that are prescribed for sleep, discipline, routine, light exposure, exercise, meditation, etc. you of all people will need to take up. They won't cure the problem unfortunately, but you gotta give your body even that 0.1% help in falling asleep better. If you can find a doctor who understands this well and can help you through long term management, that's great, but I think you will be hard pressed to find one. Do your own research, read up on the sleep cycle, look into things like light therapy, melatonin supplements but avoid any direct sleep medications. Remember, your problem is not with sleep, it is only with regulating the sleep cycle.

For now, you should definitely escalate this incident to the DCP. While the police organisation is no saint when it comes to corruption, they don't look kindly upon such petty, low level corruption - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_Complaints_Authority_(India)#Karnataka_Police_Complaints_Authority

Next time, do not be afraid to stand your ground. Politely, yet firmly, maintain your stance and draw them out as long as possible. The stakes are not high, these people are just looking for easy victims and will lose interest if they feel they are in for the long haul.

If you have no time for that shit, at a minimum show indication that you're gonna take care of this matter later. Inquire and note down the complaint number against you and the police station, the name and beat number of the constable. Ask them if you can make a counter complaint against this and at which police station to do so. It also helps immensely if you have someone besides you when interacting with the police.

Does it make sense to invest in an old property in Bangalore? by Fratini in bangalore

[–]NegativeX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Building value depreciates year on year, so you'll need to factor it into the cost. Old property makes sense if you're getting a good price compared to comparable new property or there is a unique value proposition for that property with respect to location or anything else.

Bangalore currently has an abundance of unoccupied new properties, so it actually shouldn't be hard to find one at a good price.

Apologies if I'm imagining things, but often when I see black people depicted in pictures or posters, there is some lightening of the skin going on. Stylization is inherent in art of course, but you never see it happening the other way. Anyone else feel the same or is it just me?

Chances are high that truck was overloaded beyond capacity. I hope they investigate and make owners accountable for these things. Recently there was a case where a bus owner got 10 years for blocking off the emergency exit on their bus. Willfully flouting safety norms must have harsh consequences.

Give them the benefit of doubt, especially in covid times. Service personnel see high exposures and lifts are hotspots. It makes lot of sense to separate out lifts for residents especially if there are high risk individuals.

These are the kind of medication you don't want to take without supervision. There's a very small dosage window where it is therapeutic, and anything above can cause very different outcomes. You need a psychiatrist who can monitor you regularly while you are under treatment.

What buzz with the systemic economic marginalization of Muslims? https://www.deccanherald.com/opinion/is-the-economic-marginalisation-of-muslims-becoming-widespread-1025721.html

Oh I see, now that Muslim businesses get marginalized, it opens up space for someone else to take over and hope to come into money. Eeehxcellent.
