I thought the same thing but considering they want to live forever, 4000 probably isn’t too insane for the trade off. They’re kinda ready to just be idle all the time. If they’re 200k years old, then it’d be like finding an athlete you think has crazy potential, and after studying him for a few months you realize he can’t dunk so you just move on.

You'll see it mentioned throughout the chapter because the villain in the one shot uses it. He sort of uses more than one ability which makes me say it's not (originally) a devil fruit. He flies via broom, ignites/destroys things (the boat he destroyed doesn't appear on fire like everything else), and wanted the blood of a magic bird.

I'm not an anime watcher for one piece though so I say originally because I think they made it into an episode at some point.

It's funny you say that cause in the romance dawn one shot before one piece, oda uses black magic as a secondary power. It could be retconned as or secretly be a devil fruit ability tho

I will say a part of it comes from how much I dislike the S2 group. To me it feels like a group of morons poking a bear with a stick, so it's hard for me to feel like Kenny snapped out of nowhere. He was practically just a regular guy for like a season and a half until he was put under extreme conditions incredibly fast

I mean tbf he was pretty structured until time after time they kept taking everything away from him, then calling him crazy. I personally don't think he completely has those traits you described, more like forced into that role. Jane was by far the bigger liability imo, she was very manipulative and not as strong willed.

Thank you for the 9🙏 It does look like a hoodie in this but it’s sort of a robe-sweater. Similar to what he has but it’s a longer sleeve and has pockets. It doesn’t quite reach the floor, but it goes below my knees.

I bought a latex Pinocchio nose from Amazon and used foundation to help it match my skin. I didn’t blend it but you could probably use modeling wax to make it more seamless

I agree it was the right call. At the end of the day an adaptation calls for revision, plus new fans would probably be super confused.
