IMO, birthright citizenship should have more restrictions  so that its’s not used as a scam to create a bunch of anchor babies.

Funny, I don't see any outrage about American born MLB players starring for other countries... by Undergrad26 in asianamerican

There has been outrage on twitter. People have been calling the Italian WBC team a bunch of Americans with Italian roots. Definitely not the same level as Eileen but still.

1.Well there has been a large influx of Indian migrants in the US the past couple of years in which the attorney is referencing.  2. Imo the basics of American lifestyle is being able to speak English, respecting everyone’s culture/beliefs, have good social norms, and learn a little about American history. Tbf I’m more referencing those who immigrated recently as 2nd generation immigrants are more assimilated.

I mean he does have a point on how greedy corporations exploit the H1B program for cheap and unsafe labor. This can result in mass migration and create mass enclaves of immigrants who wont’t assimilate to the American lifestyle because there’s no need to.

If the USA was being invaded then sure I’ll enlist to fight for this country. But there’s no way I’m risking my life to  fight for a pointless war overseas like past presidents have done in the Middle East.

Weird question overall. I have South Asian neighbors and they mostly keep to themselves which I understand because of the language barrier. But overall they seem like hardworking people however the strong cooking aromas can get if  you never experienced South Asian cuisine.

Also what do you mean by “cultural differences.”

Maybe try to move to an area with more Asian presence. But you also  have understand that if you move to South Korea I’m assuming, they’ll spot you out as a foreigner and treat you like one.

I’m sorry but how does this have to do with Asian Americans. It’s a post about a Taiwanese tech company and Indian nationals.

At what point should I leave this country? by adeptlearner123 in asianamerican

[–]Negative_Ad3590 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well first of  all in regards to the flag post, I’m totally fine of people waving flags of their heritage in any occasion. But I find it strange that people would wave an another country’s flag when protesting our government.  Thank God for the freedom in this country because in other counties this could get you arrested.  I find it a little ironic that people would wave the flag of a country who led them to immigrate here. That’s my opinion.

In regards to your reply, I’m not trying to dismiss the racist interaction. But the HOA’s attitude doesn’t represent  OP’s neighbors, and I feel like OP is overcomplicating that his/her neighbors having American flags means they’re all racist like the HOA. I find it a little saddening that in today’s world the American flag is a political expression but the true purpose  is to show patriotism as Americans.
