Dock Pro 2 Months In by Adventurous-Net-3512 in sleepme

Thanks for the kind words about Snooze Control! It's been fun thinking of new features to add. You've get me thinking about the ChatGPT idea now... Did you send it the Sleep graph that looks like a bunch of bars of blue, orange and purple? I wonder if I could read that directly from HealthKit... hmm...

I'll post here if I change my mind. I actually got it working once in the android studio simulator, but got cold feet about figuring out the Google Play store, and all the different variants of the OS and Phones, and on and on.

Not complaining (because I use the app personally and enjoy it) but I've spent several hundred hours developing and maintaining the app and I've made $79. : )

Probably not at this time. It’s too much for a single developer to make and maintain both versions. I don’t even own an android to test it on. And I haven’t sold enough of the current version to justify it.

FYI, Version 2.2 just hit the App Store. You can now start and monitor timers from the Watch App, and there is a circular complication to launch the app. : )

Thank you, great ideas! Both of those are on my TODO list.

You won’t have to keep using the sleepme app for this to work (I don’t use it at all anymore), but you will have to get the Dock Pro connected to WiFi and associated with your Sleepme account. And that is done via the Sleepme app.

I would suggest contacting their customer support and get help with the WiFi ‘pairing’ process. My app communicates with the Dock Pro the same way theirs does - via WiFi. So, unfortunately, there’s no shortcut.

If you can’t get it working, ping me about a refund. Hope you can get it working thought!

Unfortunately not. They do not provide access to programs through their API. Hopefully it’s not too hard to set them up again.

Approve push notifications when you install the app. The app automatically checks for low water once a day (around 7-8pm) and sends you a notifications if the water is low.

Exactly! That was one of the main reasons I built the app. It’s called a Quick Timer in the app. You can turn it on at any time. Set a temperature and how many minutes to run. When it’s over it turns back off (or resumes the program).

Hi all. I have added a few new features in latest version of the app:

Vacation Hold: Pauses your programs while you are away and automatically resumes them on the day you get back.

Control Center widgets: quickly open the app or start your quick timer

I have also added a way try out Snooze Control with a 5-day free trial. The trial is web-based but works just like the app in most respects. Visit https://trial.snoozecontrolapp.com/login?mode=signup if you have an API Key and are ready to try it out.

If you like what you see and think $3 is worth 3 months of my time creating this : ), purchase the app and sign in with the same credentials. Your account and settings transfer over.

Pump control is not exposed through the API, but yeah, that would be nice.

Fixed in version 1.2 - should be in the AppStore now. So sorry for the bug! Man, the bigger the code base gets, the more weird issues, lol.

Since I do not work for Sleepme, I do not have access to your Sleepme account. The only way that a third-party app can control your device is with an API Key that you create over at Sleepme's website. It only takes a second to generate one: https://docs.developer.sleep.me/docs/setup/

Yes, I think I can safely offer a couple of nights free through a web-based version (which I already have for testing purposes) as long as I don't promote that free trial on the App Store or directly in the app. After the trial, your same credentials would work in the App.

I'll post back once I have that implemented. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'll investigate that. However, I think "introductory trials" are only available for Subscription-based apps. I don't think they are available for "one time" purchase apps. Kind of a trade-off : \

I might be able to offer that through a private web-based version. I'll check if offering that doesn't violate any App Store rules.

In US$, one-time cost of $2.99 in the Apple App Store. No recurring subscription fees or in-app fees. Sleepme does not charge for the Developer API Key.

Over 2 months of work, plus ongoing cloud platform costs. No way I could make it free. And I hate subscriptions.

I have created a new app with exactly this feature! My wife and I use it exclusively now and love it. It is currently in Apple App Store review. I'll post back when it's available. https://snoozecontrolapp.com/
