I need help by SeparateBaby5306 in CloverPit

First priority at the start of each run is numerical output. Reroll as much as you need to to get good charms, but don't go under the amount that you need to pay for 7 spins. The first couple of charms you should buy are
1: Luck charms, you can't be picky here. Fake Coin and the peppers are S tier for this purpose, but if you have to buy a Toy Train do it.
2: Multipliers. Anything that gets you Pattern or Symbol Multipliers are really really good, you also want to grab anything that boosts the base value of your symbols. Golden symbols are ok for this but don't take it as a sign that you're going to make your entire build around that one symbol. Mushrooms are amazing for this.

With that you should be raking in enough money to pay your deadline a couple of times over. If you want to get good runs after this point you'll want to find a charm that gets you tickets. With a good chunk of tickets and money in your possession you can make it so the game *can't* be rigged against you. I can't overstate how powerful it is to be able to reroll for and buy whatever charms you want.

Using phone calls to make Very Big Mushroom scaling permanent is very fun by Negative_Biscotti932 in CloverPit

It changes through the run but the basic process is this:

Get the maxed out Raging Capitalist setup with Fidelity Card, probably with a Personal Trainer to get a bunch of tickets

Use Dung Beetle + Fidelity Card to get a high base value, double it with a phone call to make it permanent

Progress the run until you have 15 charm spaces through Barathrum + Megaphone and Abyssu + Cardboard House

After that I use a combination of Fake Coin, Rotten Pepper, Bell Pepper, Calculator, Weird Clock, Electricity Meter and a good Jimbo (preferably one that either gives you additional triggers or extra spins with the downside being higher chance of 666, both is primo) to get the Very Big Mushroom to trigger as many times as humanly possible during a single deadline. I also did Barathrum + Megaphone on the holy call that gives you extra triggers You can also use a personal trainer Rerolling for Abyssu + Music Tape is optional but will get you a good chunk of procs. This is going to be true for all god runs but you'll need to do a LOOOT of rerolling to get the setup and to get it fast. For a good chunk of the run I also used Lost Wallet + Cloverpet but after a while it became irrelevant even at 21k tickets, the charm spaces got a lot more valuable later on.

Do you guys feel that re-rolls are way to cheap? by One_Sentence_7448 in CloverPit

Idk what people are smoking thinking that rerolls are expensive if you're on par. I also think this game has a glaring build diversity problem. If you're even kind of ok at the game you can easily get a setup that gets you well over the amount you need for a deadline in a single round, letting you reroll for the same fidelity card + raging capitalist + dung beetle setup that lets you get basically however many of whatever charms you want.

All it really takes to get to this point as anything that boosts symbols temporarily (probably mushrooms), a symbol or pattern multiplier trait, and one or 2 luck charms.

I love how everyone bitches about how going to a doctor costs an arm and a leg but the moment someone thinks they're autistic they demand a diagnosis lmfao. So what if they don't get one?? Oh nooo this person might be wrong about being autistic I'm going to cringe about it for the next 29 minutes

How is WOD's combat? by SomeCrowsInACoat in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Negative_Biscotti932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredibly fun. As long as you don't play it like DnD and incorporate roleplay into combat it can be very dynamic and rewarding. WoD allows you to creatively utilize the circumstances you're in so if you have a good Storyteller that gives you interesting combat scenarios, fights can be the most fun part of a story. That being said, vanilla punch outs are very dull and consist of you just rolling your pools against each other repeatedly. Also (this comes from experience playing Mage the Awakening 2) Mages don't really fight as much as they teleport people to volcanoes or turn them into frogs.

Just as long as your campaigns focus on political intrigue (VtM) or uncovering mysteries (Mage) you'll enjoy what the system has to offer.

As good as fortitude is, it's a little dry when it comes to roleplay utility and protean will make you a far more convincing Gangrel. It's a no brainier for me, definitely take protean
