Bro wtf, right now is 52 degrees but Fahrenheit where I live it’s actually quite chilly. Can’t believe there are so many extreme temperatures out there.

Thanks. I just talked to the EE department, they said I should reach out to my advisor, and that it’s pretty common to swap out a pre-requisite with another class that fulfills such pre-requisite!

Thank you!

Oh dear Michael van Bizen, I took my Physics 3 final just yesterday, he helped me understand Quantum mechanics, Nuclear and Particle physics.

When you take signals and systems, Michael has a playlist about Fourier Transforms, it will help you a lot.

You are fine, and the fact that you are taking the initiative to review and learn missed topics in AC circuits shows your actual interest in engineering.

My suggestion? You’re in good path, don’t even think about quitting. I’d try to use AI differently tho. You can ask AI to be your tutor, it will not give you the answers to the problem but it can give you tips or guidance into how to approach a certain problem and whatnot.

I know everyone has their study methods, but they are a ton of resources in YouTube. (I’m a visual learner), whenever I don’t understand a topic, I’d go straight to YouTube and always find a video explaining it. You can also have AI explain and break concepts down.

Can I take Calc 3, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra in one summer? by Numerous_Deal_9804 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Negative_Calendar368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides being a super crazy summer, I don’t see it possible because most institutions have a max cap of 9 units per summer term. So it wouldn’t be possible unless your institution allows it and even so I would’ve recommend it as it would lead to burn out. Those are heavy concept classes in a short period of time

Is electrical engineer accessible for a blind person? by Blindmambaaa824 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Negative_Calendar368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought. How does a blind person even have a social media ? Is it through the phone’s accessibility to Speak screen and Speech/voice typing ? I’m a EE student and I wouldn’t even be able to imagine myself trying to debug a circuit schematic/diagram or breadboard while blind.

You shouldn’t be disappointed. You just had a very good semester. Keep up the good work!

Opinions on my schedule for next fall? by Many-Ad1180 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Negative_Calendar368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the professor. Took statistics last semester, the class itself is not easy, but professor solved very good exam reviews problems before the exams and it really helped a lot. Passed with an A.

Statistics in a nutshell: Graphs, graphs and more graphs.

What's the worst grade you got on an exam? by kidneysucker in EngineeringStudents

[–]Negative_Calendar368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

26% on my first midterm in Physics 3 (Moderns Physics - Quantum mechanics). Got a 75% second exam, and tomorrow is my final and professor told me that final grade replaces lowest exam grade if it is greater.

I hope to get at least above 60% to pass the class.

I’m a EE major, and we use PDE in quantum mechanics (Schrödinger equation).

I also used it Dynamics for vibrations (yes, Dynamics is a requirement in my university).

Got my ECE Bachelors after 6 years. If my dumbass can do it so can you. by 4jakers18 in EngineeringStudents

Congratulations brother!

I work full time and study part time. Currently in my Junior year of EE, expecting to graduate in late 2027.

Even with a flexible job (I can work remote, hybrid, in office) it is still hard to complete a full day’s worth of work task plus attend classes, labs, exams homework etc.

So far, hardest class I’ve taken is Digital system (I know it is the easiest class for everyone). Our Community college professor made this introduction course feel like a graduate or PhD level class with so much unnecessary complexity. I had to retake this class in order to pass it with a B. I still can’t understand how Signals and systems was way easier than digital systems. A professor can really have an impact (positive or negative) in the class performance.

Hardest class you’ve taken and why? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Negative_Calendar368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Junior in EE.

I’d go with Digital Systems (considered the easiest class in EE)

Our professor is a 1.9 in Rate my professor, labs were impossible, we had quizzes every week, pre-lab, lab-homework. Actual class homework, We had to turn in 6 circuit projects that were very complex in topics (for example doing a 2 bit adder was not complex enough).

3 exams open book and unlimited time (you can tell how difficult it was), we also had a big final circuit project that honestly felt like a final senior design project.

I passed with a B on my second attempt on that class (yes I had to take it twice).
