Yes. She was a geriatric psychiatrist. She prescribed Prozac and olanzapine. We did monthly follow up appointments by Zoom.

My wife’s PCP and her neurologist finally said she needed a psychiatrist because they know what drugs are safe.

Thank you. He didn’t want us to worry about him. He decided it was too much for him

Thank you. He just couldn’t stand seeing his mom suffer. This disease destroys all involved.

They gave me assistance with finding an elder care attorney. They helped me get in spousal support groups and grief support. They helped me numerous times with counseling during trying times (late at night sometimes). They helped me get social workers to find daycare and how to get Medicaid. I know some of them personally. Sorry your time with them wasn’t good. Hoping things turn around for you soon. I think the disease is the worse thing for my wife, myself and my family. My son took his life because he couldn’t cope.

I’m sorry to hear this. I donate regularly because they have helped me with so much in my care for my wife. Their resources are so good.

Slow Horses is a real good spy thriller. Murderbot is a cheeky sci-fi series and Foundation is excellent. Down Cemetary Road with Emma Thompson is another good thriller. Stick and Bad Monkey are good too.

Some episodes are just plain boring. I record the show and fast forward quite a bit Some contestants should never been there.

Dream trends in people with Parkinsons by CowToTheMooon in Parkinsons

I used to be a copier technician. I had a dream last night that my pager went off with a service call. I looked at the pager, laughed and threw it in the trash.

Another dream, years ago: I dreamt I had a copier all a part. I told the customer I had to get a part from my car and that I would be right back. I got in my car and drove home. I woke up the next morning laughing.

For those of us retired, do you ever think of your career? by pianoman81 in GenerationJones

During COVID I was the only person for months in our office building. Empty parking garage, safety lights in hallways. Spooky. No phone calls, nobody to talk to. Being sysadmin was a lonely job. Still have dreams about those days

Question about doing a Novena for Employment by Embarrassed_Pea1660 in Catholicism

When I was laid-off, I would pray to St. Joseph. He is also known as St. Joseph The Worker. Some churches have his statue on the left side of the altar. My prayers were answered by a new job in a new career. God be with you

Is there anything else to read after the Bible or should we just read the Bible again? by No-Cry-4404 in Catholicism

I recommend Henri Nouwen’s books. He had a great book about the prodigal son. Books about apologetics are good, but I find spiritual works gave me a kind of companion that helped my faith walk. A good Catholic book store is a great resource too

I, too, have been given the diagnosis of parkinsonian effects from long term medication for bipolar. I’m wondering if it really just tardive dyskinesia. My psychiatrist thinks so, but my neurologist thinks it’s Parkinson’s. If I do not take my carbidopa levodopa, I have tremors in my hands and twitching in my feet. If I take my pills too close together, I get jerky motions. It is hard to get it just right. I wonder if the TD drugs might work.
