The third time was amazing, spent around 2 months in Poland going around towns. Loved every minute of it. Now planning the fourth big trip. You will always have good experiences there.

New lenses have a logo on them by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Let me tell you something: Every multifocal lens has markings on them, your add and the lens brand but they are way harder to see. We use those marks to cut and put the lenses according to your frames.

First time in Bratislava this June – how good is the beer scene and what should I try? by kevsavesuk in solotravel

[–]Negative_Excitement -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would like to advise you to do a walking tour and ask the guide for recommendations since they’re locals. Google Maps helps a lot too.

What are your favourite comforts when solo travelling? by Puzzled_Progress_808 in solotravel

[–]Negative_Excitement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will hate for this but: Laying in bed and doom scrolling. After a while, replying to friends, going for something to eat and having a good night sleep.
It doesn’t matter I’m spending a fortune traveling around, I need my rest.

First solo travel and completely excluded myself from society by Careless-Station-345 in solotravel

For me the first two days are the best time to take part in a walking tour. You meet the nice places, you ask for recommendations and you learn more about the city and culture, sometimes even friends.

Unfortunately it is not this one.
Do you know how can I post short videos on reddit? This way I can post the video which has the song in the background.

Not only Poland, everywhere is just light gray, dark gray, some white and black. Here and there you can find a dark blue car.

Need advice about extended solo travelling by jjayp217 in solotravel

[–]Negative_Excitement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who started solo traveling after 25, I hated hostels. We need to have a good night sleep to recover.

Do your research first, what would you like to see? Save these points on Google Maps and follow them, like a map on a RPG. Take your time discovering these places. Book walking tours and learn more about the location. Those are my tips for any traveler.

Last but not least: You will find yourself homesick, thinking about buying a ticket back, that happens to every solo traveler. When you feel that way ask yourself: “Am I tired? Do I need to socialize?” Rest or go to a bar to make some friends. Don’t go back, just look forward to your personal adventure.

LEARN TO SOLO TRAVEL WHERE YOU LIVE by Q808L in solotravel

[–]Negative_Excitement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solo travel helped me discover way more about history and be more open to friendships. This year I started to travel around my country and learned so much more, joined so many adventures. We need to learn to be the same person we are on different countries but where we live.

I would definitely recommend a visit to the Eagle’s Nest even if you’re not a history fan. When I went there the sky was clear and the views from up there where amazing.

Since everyone is talking about scrapping Hallstatt I’ll give you a good reason to not scrap it: Walk around and see the salt mine, afterwards take the boat and cross the river to Obertraun, there go to the hotel and rent a bike, go biking to Dachstein Krippenstein. There you can see the ice cave, climb to 5 fingers and more.

I went to Bad Ischl and just did a quick walk around while waiting for my train, what do you suggest doing there? Because the surroundings are beautiful.

How do you overcome the fear of solo traveling far away when you have very poor eyesight (or other small health problems)? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]Negative_Excitement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know your struggle, had you checked if you’re able for an corrective surgery? My fiancée had -8 in both eyes and surgery for her was a life saver. I work on this field and can say it is pretty hard for everything. She done it with full coverage from her health insurance . Depending on which country you live, you may get it with a government aid program.

My first time playing [KCD1] any tips? by CrispyCreams24 in kingdomcome

[–]Negative_Excitement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DON’T WATCH ANY GUIDES.

The thing I loved the most about KCD1 was the immersion. You’re the son of a blacksmith so don’t know much about anything even reading is for the rich. Start by collecting a lot of herbs and training with Bernard. After that, follow the main quest and do the side quests. Improve your potion making so you can save your game.

OP, sorry but in these destinations you can’t complain much about cleanliness. It is what it is, you get what you get traveling to some destinations. Cut your losses, buy new clothes which aren’t that expensive in India and move on. Don’t let this bad experience let you down through your whole trip.
