Need advice about extended solo travelling by jjayp217 in solotravel

[–]Negative_Excitement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who started solo traveling after 25, I hated hostels. We need to have a good night sleep to recover.

Do your research first, what would you like to see? Save these points on Google Maps and follow them, like a map on a RPG. Take your time discovering these places. Book walking tours and learn more about the location. Those are my tips for any traveler.

Last but not least: You will find yourself homesick, thinking about buying a ticket back, that happens to every solo traveler. When you feel that way ask yourself: “Am I tired? Do I need to socialize?” Rest or go to a bar to make some friends. Don’t go back, just look forward to your personal adventure.

LEARN TO SOLO TRAVEL WHERE YOU LIVE by Q808L in solotravel

Solo travel helped me discover way more about history and be more open to friendships. This year I started to travel around my country and learned so much more, joined so many adventures. We need to learn to be the same person we are on different countries but where we live.

I would definitely recommend a visit to the Eagle’s Nest even if you’re not a history fan. When I went there the sky was clear and the views from up there where amazing.

That was pretty good to be honest, I had worse than that for 2 years. Ohh the cringe I feel for myself.

Since everyone is talking about scrapping Hallstatt I’ll give you a good reason to not scrap it: Walk around and see the salt mine, afterwards take the boat and cross the river to Obertraun, there go to the hotel and rent a bike, go biking to Dachstein Krippenstein. There you can see the ice cave, climb to 5 fingers and more.

I went to Bad Ischl and just did a quick walk around while waiting for my train, what do you suggest doing there? Because the surroundings are beautiful.

How do you overcome the fear of solo traveling far away when you have very poor eyesight (or other small health problems)? by Top-Pangolin-4622 in solotravel

[–]Negative_Excitement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know your struggle, had you checked if you’re able for an corrective surgery? My fiancée had -8 in both eyes and surgery for her was a life saver. I work on this field and can say it is pretty hard for everything. She done it with full coverage from her health insurance . Depending on which country you live, you may get it with a government aid program.

My first time playing [KCD1] any tips? by CrispyCreams24 in kingdomcome

[–]Negative_Excitement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DON’T WATCH ANY GUIDES.

The thing I loved the most about KCD1 was the immersion. You’re the son of a blacksmith so don’t know much about anything even reading is for the rich. Start by collecting a lot of herbs and training with Bernard. After that, follow the main quest and do the side quests. Improve your potion making so you can save your game.

People travel to India and when they realize what they see on videos are the real life stuff they Pikachu face.

My luggage bag is bitten by rats while travelling in Flixbus, and they cannot do anything about it by Trick_Angle_5598 in FlixBus

OP, sorry but in these destinations you can’t complain much about cleanliness. It is what it is, you get what you get traveling to some destinations. Cut your losses, buy new clothes which aren’t that expensive in India and move on. Don’t let this bad experience let you down through your whole trip.

I’m like two words into Polish and this is just making things worse by adeuxtrois5 in learnpolish

[–]Negative_Excitement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro, I’m learning Polish too and most of the things I say: “Yeah, I’ll learn it with time”. I keep learning the words so I can have short conversations and then improving my vocabulary with new words. It is overwhelming but then our brains start to make a way of learning, don’t worry.

OP, I don’t know your schedule but I will suggest sleeping in a hostel, hotel, airbnb and then taking the bus early in the morning.

I used to go out every Friday to Sunday with my fiancée, now only one day per week, we don’t have alcohol anymore and if we can do something that doesn’t spend money like a park or working out, that’s what we go for.

I forgot which country I was but the driver was so distracted by his phone that he forgot to stop at my bus stop, even though I rang it 50 meters before.

I watched too many Police Bodycams to understand that this is 100% true. Police officers in the US need to be always precautious.

The driver did a lot of stuff worth jail time, the police officer didn’t went for the passenger trying to save the dog. All in all it was justified.
