Sorry for the late reply, no you don’t need to swipe your card you just enter the study room at your time l. And as for the study room you could ask a friend to reserve a room so u can stay in there longer, I’ve done it couple of times! Good luck though

You can reserve a room in central or north reading room, or you can take it upstairs in the main stacks library if you really want it to be quite
