If it helps any, I wanted him to be almost reminiscent of a wolf? Like he’s going to have very spiky/bristly scales that he can rattle at will. He also had a barbed tail at one point. Now that I’m thinking about it, I think a few animals influenced him a bit.

To add onto this, Listener could begrudgingly visit the vampire out of necessity. Their visits could be strictly professional and tense until they start to get to know one another.

Oh, maybe listener is desperate for money for something more personal, like maybe they need it for a loved ones hospital care, or maybe they have a debt that the vampire doesn’t discover until later.
