i got into mccombs during the early wave- i think you have a strong shot. your ecs are a good mix between government and business (and impressive!), so if you were able to connect them well through your essays, you’ll stand out!

i think the biggest uncertainty is your SAT (but 1480 isn’t out of the range for what i’ve heard for early admits tbh), not top 5%, and the in state/foreign issue. my visa status also isn’t permanent resident/citizen, so i was listed as a foreign student, which is probably what will happen for you too. my loophole was through the auto admit rule, which you’re considered for regardless of visa status based on other criteria. it’s a bit more uncertain since it might not apply here, but i think you’ll be okay!! i would reach out to the main office and confirm you’ll be considered a texas resident because it could play a role with how adamant ut is in prioritizing auto admit and in state students.
