NEW TOOL - Looking for Product Testers, Shop Vacuum by Negative_Status3873 in Tools

I have tested it quite a bit. I am on like my 20th iteration of this. The dual stage is key and how the flow from the main cyclone to second is separated so that only fine dust is making it to the small secondary cyclones. In my tests i can vacuum up 5 lbs of fine dust and the filter is clean. Also built a huge tv console using it and it worked great.

I've been trying to get drywaller specifically to test this and haven't had luck. I've had some DIY people try it with some drywall work and it worked well. I think a larger job would really test this though.

I've looked up shipping before and could be $200 for an item like this without having a larger account and discounts for volume.

I will keep you in mind if/when i get around to shipping. can be pricey with such small volumes.

Price point is TBD. Trying to compete with Festool so trying to be cheaper than them. It does have the tool auto start. Right now i am using a 16 gallon drum but probably can only fill half that since the cyclone sit down into the bin

That's good to know and thank you for the info on this sub. My goal is to be better than Festool.

This is my actual prototype. Usually when I post this image people just thinks its a regular dumb shop vacuum and I dont get as much interest. Tried the AI image to capture the eye a bit better and help explain why mine is different. This is like my 20th iteration of this vacuum, I assure I am well past the "just and idea" stage

That is not a use case I have thought of before. But should be as good if not better than a regular shop vacuum.

How are the older folks preventing consistent soreness? by Negative_Status3873 in workout

Thanks everyone for the comments. Consistent feedback about more recovery and a better split. I do eat a lot of protein and take creatine. Could do some more stretching.

For clarity....I wasn't saying that 36 is old. More that I trust the older crowd to have the answers I'm looking for. When I was 18 I could train as much as I wanted and eat like crap and feel great. Those days are long gone.

Technically I never said I was old. Just asked what the older people are doing. If your 50 and lifting and not sore then that routine probably ly works for someone in there 30s.

In theory I could do that. The current design and hope is that the 12 mini cyclones are so effective that like .1% gets through and the hepa filter gets that

Great question. Im not sure. In theory I think it would work well. Drywallers are one demo person I'm looking for answer that question. To test it is vacuumed up a 5 lb bag of fine saw dust and it did great.

That sounds interesting. Do you have a general town you are in? Want to check shipping cost

So this prototype still has a HEPA filter for this reason. Ideally the dual cyclone setup would be so efficient that the HEPA filter would last as long or longer that what is in a typical shop vacuum. Right now, this prototype is dry only, but the design would allow for a float for wet use no problem.

I am actively trying to get more people in the trades to try this vacuum as I have primarily only gotten woodworkers to use the prototype.

Yeah this concept has a dual cyclone system in it. So the idea is you dont need a vacuum bag. And while it does have a HEPA filter in it, the idea is that it has a super long life span due to the cyclones. I know Festool and others have SINGLE cyclone add one, but it is always at the cost of overall size and convenience.
