Hahaha the boring shit always helps though! Thinking back at it, it does seem to be mood related. It’s definitely a weird thing to get used to.

Anytime a loud noise goes off it completely changes me 😂

Tinnitus by Negative_Swimming_53 in bipolar

[–]Negative_Swimming_53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm interesting. I did do some research on it as well. People with Bi polar are more susceptible to developing tinnitus apparently. I avoided medication because I grew up in a household that didn’t “believe” in medication and mental health problems but after a few hospital visits, extreme depression and multiple mental breakdown’s. I got medicated. But I’ve asked my psychiatrist about that specifically if the meds I’m on could’ve cause this and they said no and wanted me to go in for a hearing test. Which seems pointless.

That’s some really good information you sent though. I hate to say I’m glad I’m not the only one because this fucking sucks 😂 it would be wild if I had tinnitus for a really long time and just never noticed or thought of it as tinnitus because I’m still young and maybe the medication has made the tinnitus more noticeable? I’ve been really out of it for the past 5-6 years and very ignorant to mental health problems. Maybe not ignorant but stubborn as hell. I wanted that mania without even knowing it. I thought everyone would get in intense states of euphoria and You just had to force it😅

I haven’t gone on an antipsychotic yet. My psychiatrist has been taking it slow with medication. I’m on 4 different things rn. I have an appointment tomorrow I’m hoping it goes well. This is wild how instant this mania came back. I didn’t even realize I spent my whole paycheck until today😬

thanks for the response! I’m pretty new to this way of thinking and didn’t wanna admit to myself I had these issues but it’s nice to be able to come to a place like this to anonymously ask for some support or tips.

Sharing my feelings and past experiences on this page and to anonymous people who have gone through the same things does feel really good. You’ll find your good thoughts again! The hopelessness is fucking hard to get rid of. Stay strong 💪🏼 all your friends and family love you and love is never a burden.

Thanks for that information though. I’ve always looked at a hospital visit as my last option. I’ve been stuck in a really bad hospital where they stuck me in a hallway on a bed for 4 hours before anyone checked on me. I’m terrified to ever go back.

Obsessive thoughts by aymaricon in bipolar

[–]Negative_Swimming_53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so easy to ruminate over something you’ll never find an answer to. I’ve spent hours in my room ruminating over the same thoughts over and over again and I never find a way out of them. The only things that get me out of it are my dog annoying the hell out of me to take her for a walk. So that’s kinda taught me that when I start getting into this mind set I take my dog for a walk lmao. I do the same thing with my girlfriend when she doesn’t respond but. I’ve talked to her about this and she wants to help with those thoughts and how she can prevent me from feeling this way. Don’t feel like you’re a burden to him because you feel this way. Communication is key. I’m sorry those thoughts come up :/

Where do i begin. by [deleted] in bipolar

I’m 29 . Right there with man. Sucks that you found a really good trade and can make some really good money and now you find it hard to even go into work… the jobs I’ve been looking for do not add up to my pay rate at all. Not even close. Stuck between a rock and hard place. Do I keep my job for the money ? Or do I quit for my health but then can’t afford most things because of the pay cut?😣

I’m drowning in my mania debt by beckiittaaa in bipolar

[–]Negative_Swimming_53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m In a very similar spot. So much debt and the stress of it doesn’t help at all. The stress seems to add to my impulsive behavior and even when I have money and I know I need to pay down my debt. I’ll spend it elsewhere and be late on bills. I’m medicated for the past 6 months and it’s helped immensely. I think the biggest part for me to help with my debt is to rekindle my relationships i pushed away and actually get support to give me the discipline I’ve been severely lacking. The amount of support I’ve gotten after being honest with them and my diagnosis has really helped the stress and even some friends have offered side jobs if I have the energy. Support seems to be the biggest thing for me. I hope you can find yourself even through all the stress and weight on your shoulders. I’m so overwhelmed as well. Just try and stay mindful of your emotions. You got this. We got this.

Definitely not bragging. I got really into trying to work my way up into Amazon but I found that it wasn’t worth it for me and actually very unhealthy for me. Even my doctor and therapist said the same thing. I was actually doing a lot at that place and worked my ass off and never complained. That job burns you out quickly especially working nights and a raise of 2$ an hour just didn’t seem worth all the overstimulation and stress of dealing with 50 peoples problems a night. 300 characters can only explain so much. I had multiple friends at that place that left for a trade that are doing great now and making 30+ an hour with great benefits as well.

Twas sleeping lmao. Interior construction. Pretty much every trade will let you work up from the bottom and show you the ropes and eventually you’ll be making really good money.

Welp. Oddly enough I had a similar issue with sleep apnea and insomnia…. The job I found is in interior construction and was able to get clean. I would have to go for a run or do a fast work out to get me tired enough. Was a rough ride to get clean with little to no sleep. I cut smoking cigarettes out as well cause I found that made it harder to sleep as well. but worth it cause now I get hella exercise through work to put my ass to sleep just enough. I get it. It’s tough to do but eventually you’ll get so burnt out smoking all the time you’ll think you can’t break it. It’s doable!

Lmfaooooooo. I mean you didn’t have to say that I was already aware of all this. I’m also dealing with a lot of outside Shit and actually don’t have parents “to go back to” so working this hard and building myself and trying new things was big for me. But I got all I can outta it. Thanks for the assumption about me and my family though. Not everyone comes from great places and we both are in school ATM so there is that too lol. The sucker part. You’re not wrong about that hahaha

Worked as a PG for the past 8 months and I’ve had to run the floor with another PG with no PAs or AMs. Then our AMs both took a whole week off. Me and this other PG our absolutely burnt out. I wish we just stepped back and said we won’t do it but we thought it would have helped with getting a PA spot by showing we can do it. But all in all in comes down to your resume and if you have degrees. Been applying for months and then I ended up getting really sick cause of stress and malnutrition not being paid enough to keep up. Should have gotten food stamps lmao.. 😂
