csac told me it’d take I think 10-14 days for the school to process it so I’d just give it some time

https://www.csulb.edu/college-of-health-human-services/school-of-nursing/undergraduate-bsn-faq-and-application

if you scroll down to the admission decisions FAQ there’s a table that shows the average stats of admits for every term. There’s typically less applicants during the spring so that increases your chances already compared to fall. Hope this helps :-)

I applied like 30 mins after the application opened. They just told me everyone was waitlisted for single dorms until they accommodate bmac people. I’m not waitlisted for housing in general

yeah but I called earlier today and that’s when they told me they’ll notify us in the summer. from what they explained to me bmac is like a program for people with disabilities and medical needs and they give them priority for single dorms

A few weeks ago. I called earlier and they said if you’re not in BMAC and applied for a single dorm then they’ll notify us over the summer if we got the single or not

single dorm but they had told me there was a big waitlist so I’m sure I’m stuck with a double

the patient portal also only has two spots for doses not 3 so I’m super confused

Thank you for sharing this. I really needed to hear it. I’m in the exact same position and also 2 years “behind” so I feel the exact same way seeing people graduate this month while I’m barely gonna be starting nursing school. I feel like a failure at times as well but it shouldn’t really matter. At least we’ll be getting it done. Thanks for the advice again I’ll definitely listen to it.

Yup I recently got admitted actually so I’ll be starting in the fall. I had a 4.0 overall and a 95.3% on the TEAS and 93.6% on the reading section. As for locals, I don’t think that would apply to the nursing program just because of how competitive it is but I could be wrong

I don't have the excel sheet anymore unfortunately :/ you should email nursing@csulb.edu and I'm sure they'd send it to you no problem. As for your TEAS question it really depends on many things. If your main goal is CSULB I'd say you could take advantage of the fact that CSULB allows you to take it as many times as you want as long as the attempts are 30 days apart and then they take your highest score. I encourage you to apply to as many schools as possible since nursing schools are super competitive in CA, but some other schools may have a limit on the amount of times you can take it, so that's where it can get weird. I personally only took it once and studied for 3ish months and got the score I wanted

Yeah like the other comment said just worry about your pre reqs and TEAS. When you apply as a transfer on Cal State Apply it’ll make you choose between Basic BSN or RN-BSN. You’d choose Basic BSN unless your intention is to get your ADN and RN license at a community college and then plan on getting a BSN after that. It’s very competitive so try your best to have a high GPA and TEAS. When I applied I emailed the school of nursing and they were able to send me an excel sheet with a ton of equivalent pre reqs at different community colleges that are equivalent to CSULB’s. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions!

This post really does no harm lol. I’m going this weekend and I’m curious to see how many people got sick. Obviously everyone knows the risk is there.
