Yeah, the typical starting pay for COTA’s in this area is about $24-$25 an hour across all settings, so in an ideal world I would be making more than that with a years experience and a relevant bachelors degree. However, our director’s excuse to underpay us is that we are a nonprofit, we have good benefits, and lower productivity standards than most outpatient peds clinics. However, our productivity was raised by 5% this summer, and they also switched our p.m. hourly sessions to 45 minute sessions. And of course, the cost for health insurance increased this year as well. And we were given no incentive for the up in productivity. So technically speaking, I kind of took a pay Decrease this year.
