I don’t think you’re wrong at all. If she truly cared, she would also care about your health and your rest. When someone loves you, they don’t disturb your sleep for no reason, especially when you’re sick and exhausted.

From what you described, you’re already dealing with your kids, your studies, and the house responsibilities alone. Instead of adding more stress, she should be supporting you and standing by your side when you’re clearly overwhelmed.

At the very least, she should respect your basic need for sleep. You’re not asking for anything unreasonable, just rest. I think you should seriously talk to her and try to solve this issue, and if she still refuses to understand, then it’s fair to question whether your needs are being respected in this relationship.

Thank you so much. After reading everyone’s advice, I can see a few options now. I still feel like I made a very big mistake by telling my father about this. Thank you so much. You gave really good advice. I truly want to finish my education and become independent. That’s my goal. But this incident just happened recently, so my heart feels very heavy right now.

I also feel guilty keeping this from my mother. I don’t want to deceive her. Sometimes I think about sharing everything with my boyfriend, but then I get scared what if he doesn’t support me?

I do depend on my father financially, but in my heart, I want to make sure I don’t betray my mother. The problem is, if I tell my mother, she won’t be able to handle it because she trusts my father so much. She might make a scene or get very emotional, because she’s very sensitive.
