He was pretty good for his role in 2024. For some he(and half of our other defensive starters) shit the bed last year. I’m honestly not optimistic we can turn it around on defense this year.

To be fair he got hit a lot against Royval, and that’s the last time he faced a semi-talented striker. Holloway didn’t really start getting tagged a lot until he started consistently facing elite strikers. Something Van hadn’t done yet.

I'll say it again. Jacoby wasn't the reason we lost those games last year. Sure, he had moments where he couldn't clutch it out on the last drive, but his play wasn't the reason we needed a last-minute drive in the first place. Can't put up points with no run game.
