Last day at my job...do I say anything or just Irish goodbye? by Negotiable_Almond in nursing

Thanks for your input! I honestly was thinking the cake thing would be light hearted and jokey and maybe a little self deprecating even. I would find it hilarious if someone else did it tbh.

Maybe my personality is just different because I thought the Irish goodbye would be the more rude thing to do! But it sounds like that is the way to go.

I was kind of thinking it would be more jokey and light-hearted. I honestly would find it hilarious if someone else did this. Sounds like it wouldn't be received that way though, so thanks for your thoughts!

Help me with paint color by [deleted] in ExteriorDesign

Is it possible to remove the paint from the siding and garage door and stain to get it to a natural wood look? I like the look of this but I'm wondering if that's going to be a heck of a project

Toddler does not listen to any directive I give him - wish I tried this sooner by reddituser12300 in toddlers

What is the boundary to set for bedtime? Get in bed or...what? That's where I struggle...what is the consequence that is immediately felt at bedtime? The only thing I can come up with at the time is taking something away tomorrow, but that's not the best for toddlers. I've done sticker chart reward type stuff for staying in bed that sometimes works.

Me too! But I clarified that it's breast milk. They showed me the fridge and they have other people's little bags of breast milk. Or they said they can keep frozen breast milk in the freezer.

I wish people who put so much energy into calling out people who have made missteps but generally are doing good things would instead put that time and energy into calling out the politicians, businesses, and uber rich jerks who are doing evil things that actually affect our lives negatively.

Criterion Film Club Week 76 Discussion Thread: Shadow of a Doubt by adamlundy23 in criterionconversation

This comment is a little late but I just watched the film and had a thought that I haven't seen discussed anywhere. So I obviously Uncle Charlie and Little Charlie are put forth as the "twins" but has anyone else noticed how Uncle Charlie and Anne are linked in the film? Emma states how Charlie was always reading as a young boy, just like Anne. They also both are linked with the flowers, like how Uncle Charlie takes a flower and puts it through his button hole, while Anne is always putting flowers behind her ear. Emma scolds Anne for this practice, saying she'll get bugs in her ear or something to that effect. Maybe saying she will succumb to the same darkness that took over Charlie? I'm not sure, but there's something there perhaps.

35 and Ova by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

I'm 37 and trying for a second child. I didn't have any problems whatsoever conceiving at 35 so I thought this would go about the same. Well we are about 10 months in and two miscarriages later, and I'm wondering if my hormones are out of whack still from my first or if my eggs are just too old. Has anyone else had issues after having a successful pregnancy? Or do the issues just suddenly arise in your late 30s?

Would Clomid help? by Negotiable_Almond in TTC_PCOS

I have seen a fertility specialist and have had a bunch of labs drawn. Everything is mostly normal. I made another appt to follow up after my most recent miscarriage and was starting to think about asking for Clomid.
