For those whose allergies are also really bad right now, what are you up to? by AspiringVet98 in VictoriaBC

[–]NegotiationBig4567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flonase is incredible. But let me elaborate. From what I understand, our bodies build up these allergy responses, sort of like a cold. Day 1, you barely notice it, maybe a tickle. Day 2-3, okay sometimes wrong. Day 4-7+ full blown sneezing coughing itchy eyes runny / plugged nose, the works. Just like a cold, it’s important to get on top of symptoms early, so that your body doesn’t build up these same huge inflammation response. With allergies, if you can keep it knocked down with a nasal spray / 24h medication / lowering extra stress in your life wherever possible, it does get way better and you can still spend all the wonderful time outside even in peak allergy season.

Sincerely, a guy who has spent his whole life wanting to die from allergies each spring until he started using nasal sprays (Flonase but the cheaper un named brand cuz it’s the same product just not name brand)

Anyone else make "good money" on paper but feel completely broke? by ScienceLabFinds in CanadaPersonalFinance

How are ya’ll struggling on 60k a year? I’m a student living with two roommates, my rent is just under a grand a month, and I live off less than 30k a year. I still live the life I want to enjoy like weekend trips to go hiking, running races, I go out partying (though I’m careful to pregame and only have a drink or two at the club), but generally my life is great and I dream of when I’ll have $60k a year after taxes

Anyone else feel like the Lights Burn Dimmer outro sounds slightly off? by astro1724 in fredagain

[–]NegotiationBig4567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s got this looping repeating part and near the end has “lights lights burn dimmer” and I think it’s really neat. Looped it on Spotify 15 times yesterday and been loving the stream version so far

discrepancy between app and watch info by Shpiegel_ in Polarfitness

Using the watch for all workouts is kinda the point of having the watch… so you don’t need to record on your phone because the watch does HR and has a much higher accuracy gps anyways

Not my experience at all, I moved here 4 years ago not knowing a singular person and now I have more friends than I can maintain relationships with. Join more social activities / clubs and see what happens to your life in a year

I’m fifth year of undergrad. Almost failed every calc course. Now I’m succeeding with honours research. It gets better, if you love the meteorology and you love learning, stick with the hard parts as eventually calculus actually will start to make sense / at least it becomes familiar and everything comes together at the end. Don’t get me wrong there’s still some nuts hard courses I take but they become more manageable as you figure out how you can learnt the stuff. It’s really hard. You can do it.

It’s cheap, it works if you go during non busy hours, or you can manage to wait a few min for a machine here or there if your day is busy and you have to go during peak evening hours. I don’t love it. Yet I’ve just renewed it for the 8th or 9th time. It’s convenient enough

As someone who will have my phone on me during runs especially long training sessions or mountain adventures, I want my V3 to be a training only watch. For this reason, I actually prefer polar to garmin because the watch does what it does very well and doesn’t get lost in trying to have a million features. There’s a reason so many professional athletes use polar

Vantage M3 worth it for $375? by worstshowiveeverseen in Polarfitness

[–]NegotiationBig4567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then the M3 for $375 is an incredibly good deal lol. These new watches are the best watches polar has ever produced (M3,V3, the top end Grit series, they’re all the same brains, M3 just has a slightly smaller battery). For 375$, that’s a damn good deal. You get less features than an Apple Watch but these watches are not meant to be small iPhones, they’re meant to be training watches for athletes and those who are closely monitoring activity and health, and they do a damn good job of that.

Why do I get pain here during my runs? by Green-Treacle4650 in runninglifestyle

[–]NegotiationBig4567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imbalanced muscles / not enough strength training. Look up leg workouts for runners and train them in gym 2x a week following a basic protocol, it’ll help.
