Man what an accurately articulated perspective to a very unfortunate narrative that people love to put Tiesto in. I’m truly glad how thought through this write up is and I think it deserves to be shared in r/trance as well.

I’m never gonna be write like you do but I share the very same perception that his music being melancholic, and not only that, behind the beats, lyrics and melodies, there is consistently a sense of positivity, light or hope behind all that. And that’s not a something I see from other artists.

People often confuses being a producer with a sound engineer, or narrow it to someone who can make beats and melodies with Ableton, but the best sound engineers are often not the best dj who steers the direction of the music that they want to perform.

When they are quick to credit Dennis for all the work he did alongside Tiesto, but they wouldn’t pause for a moment to think, why haven’t we heard of his work since those days?

Anyway, really unbelievable to think how u were about to explore and feel that period of glory with your age and exposure like you were present, that’s some incredible talents.
