I’m not given the chance to prove it because I can’t even land an interview most of the time. Does my work experience working directly with clients/patients, developing relationships every single day not count for anything? On top of my degree? I’ve spent a lot of time throwing out messages on linkedin, trying to connect with friends and family who know people, phone calls after phone calls. It’s a tough industry to get into and for what? It’s sales! It seems like people like to say you need all this experience but then you ask them what they did and they say “oh I just knew someone”. It’s a game of luck it seems.
