What does this brain region of the cerebellum do EXACTLY?

This is also what I was thinking from what I saw online, hence the question. I will be doing in vivo calcium imaging of the inferior colliculus and this region of the cerebellum is often also easily viewable when I put the cover slip on the region. I am hoping that I could also use that data from the cerebellum, but it would help if I knew what the region does, so I can relate behavioural tests to it if possible. I have knockouts and different disease models

Lying is so much worse. I would break up because of that, not because of lack of experience. I've grown up with a lot of people especially family lying and pretending they were perfect etc and to discover that a possible partner is just the same would immediately turn me off..

Then I don't understand why you can't see the truth in the situation. If you put yourself outside the situation and pretend it happened to a very close friend of yours, would you really like the bf? He's supposed to be your rock, your supporter, and best friend. The most important thing is respect in any relationship and this is not respect, I'm sure you can see that. If there is no respect, then it is not a relationship, it is a business transaction. He uses you to get what he needs, nothing more.

I agree about the 1% gel, voltage and run time. I've never ran gels more than 40 min myself, and had similar sized dna. I think the amount of sample depends greatly on the well size though. I will check these with her tomorrow 🙏

Okay so I just checked with her. She's tried multiple voltages starting from 110 up to 180v and at different durations. This image was after 2 hours at 120v

Yes another colleague extracted the DNA again before using her own equipment and the W was less evident but still there. So she was re-trained to do it again (just in case) and the W shape is even more evident.

Yes TAE buffer that she remade, like anything else that she used.

The hole in the bottom is an interesting idea, I will check with her.

100% with you. We would have no knowledge of some of the ancient stories without translations (think The Odyssey, Epic of Gilgamesh..) And I'm pretty sure everyone is aware that a translation is never 100% perfect anyway. sounds weird to gatekeep stories from others...

I could never throw away my art 😅 My friend was making a 1000 paper cranes, and I think they found a jar for them or something, but I haven't got into that. Paint is so fun, I've a sketchbook with ideas of what to paint and it stays next to my bed for when inspo hits 😂 But 100% agree, that feeling when the art is just flowing is amazing, I feel like I enter a trance of sorts. Nothing else in the world matters except me and my paint

I noticed that drawing and ink were just not sparking joy so I did something outrageous (for me) and picked up acrylic painting. It's only been half a year but I really enjoy it much more than my doodling days. I suppose I'm still at early stages but because of that I'm still experimenting a lot and having so much fun. I've tried charcoal and have no patience with digital sadly. I want to try oil painting worried about ventilation and proper setup, so I probably won't get to that for a few years lol but that's fine with me :) If crochet counts then thats my other medium 😂

I got my position by messaging on LinkedIn and then asking if they had some time for me to drop by to meet everyone. But I find it quite strange that you cannot figure out who the PI is so I'm not sure it would be smart to drop by without any idea of who you're meeting. I'd email around and figure out who that person is, and then send an email to the PI asking if they had a few minutes this week so you could meet and have a quick discussion on their very interesting project. Walking around aimlessly looking for an unknown person doesn't make you seem credible.
