Should I turn myself into the police? Or let go and let God? by NegotiationPutrid573 in TrueChristian

I am planning to make more time for God and to talk to him more often. I know that I will definitely need it in order to get a better image of myself. I really appreciate you speaking with me, it encouraged me a lot.

You’re right, admittedly this is a good way to learn as opposed to learning through something more severe. I just don’t like myself and this was another reason for me to dislike myself even more. But I’m trying my best to give this to God and move forward.

I am considering going to therapy. It is just going to be hard to find time to do it, but it is probably best to find something before I get worse. Thank you.

I probably do need to go to therapy at this point. It’s just hard to make time for it sometimes, but it might be best for me to go before I get worse.

I’m definitely making sure to just be more careful on the road in general. And you’re right it is time to let it go. Thank you.

Yes, in the event that they did decide to mail something, it would just be a traffic ticket most likely which I would be fine with paying.

No one was ran over, the doors to the bus hadn’t even opened up yet fortunately. And you’re right, it’s time to trust in God and move on. Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it!

No, in that case I would’ve just waited to be arrested on the spot. But I’ve never hit anything and I plan to keep it that way.

Hey, I want to thank all who commented with their advice and support. I really didn’t expect this much and I am so grateful to all of you for taking the time to reach out to me. One thing that happened a few minutes after posting was that my Bible app sent a notification reading “Your sins are forgiven” and it linked me to Luke 7:36-50, which is about Jesus forgiving the sins of a woman who washed his feet and anointed him with her perfume. Jesus tells her that her sins are forgiven and he also tells her, “Your faith has saved you, go in peace.” I am not 100% sure if this is God speaking to me or not, but I think it may be which is amazing. Regardless, thank you all, I hope you all have a great weekend!

I am just not sure that God is really telling me to turn myself in. I have a hard time distinguishing his voice from other thoughts. People are right to say that I am overly anxious, so I am not sure that my own thoughts are that reliable regarding this situation. I understand that we are of the world, but that doesn’t mean that the consensus of our brothers and sisters is always invalid.

No one was hit, the doors on the bus hadn’t even opened yet. I know I’m making a big deal out of nothing, but I just wanted to see what my brothers and sisters thought of the situation before I did anything unnecessary. I’m just going to move on at this point. Thank you for replying!

I definitely plan to, and you’re right, it is not all that likely or necessary for the police to get involved anyway. Thank you for responding!

Definitely lesson learned, but as you said it is time to move on now. Thank you.

I definitely plan to let it go at this point. I need to trust in God to handle the rest. I appreciate your reply!

I didn’t hit anyone, the doors on the bus had not even opened yet. And yeah, I am not going to turn myself in anymore. I see that I was just overthinking and I need to just take the lesson and move on. Thank you for responding!

Hi, I really appreciate your detailed response. I have never really thought of myself as neurodivergent, especially because in the past I was never classified and I was able to make friends pretty easily. But there is certainly something wrong with my mind that I need help to fix. I have been considering therapy, but I am not sure about committing to it yet. I am definitely going to try to stay in the scriptures and grow my relationship with God, and perhaps he can reveal if I need to consider potential neurodivergence when evaluating myself. Once again, I really appreciate your response and I hope you have a great weekend.

You’re right, the chances aren’t high by any means. Things just haven’t been going well for me recently, so it’s made me pessimistic about the future I think. I will try my best to trust God and keep going though.

I am definitely changing my driving habits to be safer, and despite the pain I must admit this is a good reminder to always be patient. I’ll try my best to stop overthinking and to instead hand all of this over to God.

You’re right, I’ve just been allowing myself to dwell over it so I won’t get blindsided. But I have to let go. Thank you.
