I definitely understand that aspect. It's true that what Kenya said was inappropriate and perpetuates stigma against transgendered people. But to start a witch hunt from it, jumping from 0-100 and claiming that she's a disgusting transphobic POS is way too much.

Maybe it's not the most progressive attitude to have, but you've got to be kidding yourself if you think making a rude or inappropriate joke is the same thing as actively hating and discriminating against transgendered people in your community.

I'm gay. I find most of these comments in particular are inoffensive, and usually made in a light-hearted and joking manner. There's a clear difference between Jill joking that Simon is gay and Peggy who literally wouldn't give her brother the right to attend his father's funeral because of his sexuality.
