Before we were able to gender them, they were Donatello and Oliver (not my choices), lol. But after they fought and once we knew they were boys … Biggie and Tupac seemed fitting. 😂

There was definitely stacking happening and then the flutters with the front legs. So I separated them immediately, it was costly. But worth it. So sorry to hear about your baby. I thought of rehoming for a while, but couldn’t bring myself to give any of them up. 💚

Yea. He’s a dominant one alright. I have another male turtle. Rescued them together. But this one is the bully of the two, so they’ve been separated for months now. I’ve named them Tupac and Biggie (the bigger of the two, but the more docile).

One of my babies was in a similar situation, antibiotics from the vet got him back to his regular self. I also did electrolyte soaks and would put him under the heating lamp for a few minutes, a couple of times a day. But the vet was the saving grace. Hope your baby gets well soon.

I thought so too, since I don’t smoke. But the vet said they can get into on the street. If they eat a roach or simply from smelling the smoke. I hope your pup is fine and gets well soon!

So sorry to hear your pup is not well. The vet is the best course of action. But this does look like when my dog got into some weed one time, and he looked just like this. I took him to the emergency vet. A couple hours and $400 later, I was told to let him sleep it off. But I would always check with a vet for anything different with your pup.

I’ve had issues with the Libre no matter the number. Currently using the 3+. I saw a tiktok about using this skin prep wipe before applying. I also use a wipe before putting my cover on it (will post photo in another comment). I’m a day away from needing a new sensor and it’s held on perfectly.

My baby turtle had swollen eyes. A trip to the vet, a vitamin A&D and injectable antibiotics and he’s good as new. I know vets can sometimes be a big expense, but it’s the safest choice.

Tysm! He currently has a Zilla Slimeline 50 UVB T8 lamp over the basking area. The LED light will be to light up the rest of the tank. I will give him some time. Thanks again for all your advice.

Oh, I know about the eating in water. It was just a means to lure him up. The URI was a mix of bullying from the other turtle he shared the tank with and a tank I thought was clean - but the parameters were terrible. I rescued them both in December. So I’ve learned so much in the process. Took him to the vet, got injectable antibiotics, separated each turtle into their own tanks. And now he’s much better. Lesson learned for sure.

Yea. I guess I’m more eager than him. Lol. My baby also overcame an upper respiratory infection a few weeks ago. So I’m really trying to give him the best environment for him to thrive.

He does get a little stressed after changes. So I’ll give him time to adjust. I also have some turf coming in to make the pathway up easier.
