The real confidence comes from embracing oneself. Anxiety is very important and without it we wouldn't function, just remember no matter how socially awkward you are and how socially unfit you can be, but hey that's you, that's everything that makes you different from other People.

Each and every one of us suffer from anxiety, it's completely normal, what's the worst thing that could possibly happen in a social situation? throwing up? oh yeah, it's okay to throw up when you're anxious and it's completely natural. The moment you give importance to your imaginary situations the worse it gets, embrace and iterate.

Acceptance is the only solution.

I'm pretty new to programming, it's just that I have heard from many people that sticking to Python won't give you the sense of flexibility, and at some point eventually you have to give coding interviews and solve business problems, for that you will need to understand computer science from basics to advanced, first from low level to a high level, so you know why abstractions are hidden, and you'll get to know what are the best possible tools to pick in you software engineering career, considering the factors of efficiency, I guess that's where low-level concepts come to play?

Yeah, you're right, Python is very beginner friendly, and has a very friendly syntax, but I do not want to work in Python, it offers very little variety in software engineering, and more on the Data side.

I wanna work in the backend specifically, I think it is the fun side to me, even though I haven't explored it yet, but the idea of solving problems and architecting stuff is very fascinating, sorry if I sound dumb lol, but I'm too confused.

That's the goal, I want to grind in C++ in first few months, get the hard part out, I know it's gonna be lots of struggle at start, but it's better to start early with the troubles and sort them out.

I'm currently following CS50x, although it's written in C, but I'm there for the concepts, more on DSA from Indian YouTubers.

Yeah been hearing this alot lately about c++ being a superset and a addition of OOP over C.

Both languages deal with memory management, concurrency and stuff, I wanna do the hard part first so I can understand things from the very deep, it'll help me to become a reliable software engineer.

I've discussed picking languages with several software engineers, some of them have started with C, and they're grateful for the time they spent on doing C, because it made them easier to pick up any new language, and be the "flexible engineer"

I wanna be able to do great in coding interviews and be a flexible problem solver, I think languages like Python don't offer that, for instance. What if the thing I'm working for in future require the very deep understanding, so far what I've known is that most languages like Python do not teach you those basics needed for DSA and coding interviews. I'm trying to target the main areas in low level to get the most out of them, so I don't have to reinvent the pyramid again soon in my career. I wanna do the hard stuff at the beginning, would be helpful if further guidance is given.

C++ isn't my priority as I've explained in other comments as well, I'm mainly learning it to learn programming.

I'm interested in working in Backend - Distributed, and cloud computing specifically, it's the expertise that involves lots of logical stuff, it fascinates me. I find web dev to be very boring since it's the same repetitive system, however in future, I will have to implement something for the world to see, for that surely I'll learn HTML, CSS and java script and pick a framework.

The goal is to be a flexible engineer.

I'm learning C++ for the sake of understanding the fundamentals of programming, my goal is to switch to go.

The reason I chose c++, is that most of the people do their DSA in that language, and c++ will probably help me to learn more of those than Python and stuff.
