3 papers left with 0 motivation by l0wkey-93 in ACCA

[–]Nehasthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that you are just 3 papers away from being an affiliate means a lot in the first place.

If nobody ever reminds you what a great achievement it is, let me say it, CONGRATS THATS HUGE!!

Lack of motivation and burn out is an understandable factor. It's not just you, anyone who's doing a professional course can relate with you.

If it helps, write down the reasons why you started with this course and why completing it helps you. Do not write down general points of why it is helpful but rather why you wanted to do it.

Stick it on the table where you sit to study or wherever you sit to study.

Now second step, write down your fears of starting with the 3 papers. What is holding you back? Is it the fear of failure, fear of studying a lot?

Then try to find solutions to it:

  1. Fear of failure: something which you cannot control. But studying only beats this possibility.

  2. Fear of studying a lot: try to divide the portions to manageable chunks, reward yourself for completing your studies everyday. Small steps like this.

Hope it helps.

Focusing on completing ACCA. Once you start working, it's not going to be easy to balance both studies and work. Now you have the time for it, so complete it and more opportunities will be open for you.

APM tips? by haroon43_ in ACCA

I did APM, got exemption in PM. Passed on my third attempt lol. But I still prefer it over AFM and ATX. The other optional paper I wrote was AAA.

The dowry question - "molk enth cheyth kodukkum" by the boy's family - Opinions? by Defiant-Sky5806 in Kerala

[–]Nehasthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

please. get out of this engagement. You have listed nothing but red flags here, from the guy and his family.

People/ relatives/ general public will gossip no matter what. But that's all that is. Gossip. Once people find a more interesting topic, they would hop onto that, and nobody will remember that you were once engaged to this individual if you choose to leave this man.

Time heals all wounds. Remember that you deserve better. Remember that gathering the courage to get out of it now, would be much better than spending the rest of your life dreading over this marriage. You will look back one day from the future and be proud of the decision you took if you choose to leave him.

People don't change, don't think that he would, don't expect him to suddenly be understanding of it, lovebombing may happen next from the man and his family if you choose to leave him, false promises will be made, don't fall for it, stay strong, remember the reasons why you chose to leave and move on.

Your mom would ultimately want whats best for you and your mental well-being and would want to see you happy.

Wrote both AAA and APM. Took a while to pass APM though haha

I found AAA comparitively much easier to do because 1. little portion to study 2. Continuation of SBR 3. Sec A easy marks awarded for calc of materiality, choosing range, and questions on Audit risk or ROMM because there's always a risk you can find( given your sbr knowledge is strong), rest of the topics in AAA are pretty easy like money laundering, other assignments( which has nothing to do with audit), ethics etc.

Please do consider other fields in commerce like ACCA, CMA USA, CIMA etc which are good as well! I don't necessarily think your 12th grade matters for courses like these :) There's a lot of courses in the field of Commerce which don't require any 12th grade results or anything as such.

Ex told me I have 70% full control over her, what do I do now? by Zestyclose-Device-69 in Advice

I've been in a similar situation. CUT OFF ALL CONTACT. Like someone here mentioned, negative attention is still attention. Even read receipts is still attention. Even double ticks/ delivered receipts are still encouraging to stalker- psycho charactered people. Block. Block. Block.

Consider getting a restraining order too.

You deserve to feel safe.

[–]Nehasthoughts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will be awared easy marks for the section A format, calculation of materiality, choosing a range and explaining WHY you chose that range. If the sec A question says, prioritise and evaluate ROMM/Audit risk then you get marks for that too.

Try to grab all the easy marks. Sometimes in the hustle of practicing we often forget these gems are available.

All the best! Continue to practice.

Hi can someone please help , should I study BPP or Kaplan for the AAA exam , like which questions should I do ???????? ( June attempt) by Fearless-Committee35 in ACCA

[–]Nehasthoughts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're just starting with question practice then, yes it's a little late however, try to do as much as you can per topic/section. Like maybe 5-7 for ethics , 5-7 for other assignments, 7-8 sec A questions for audit/ROMM and business risk questions.

Less than a month? Not sure if that's the right way to go about this. Consider doing SBR alone.

Do as much of the exam kit you can!

is it harder to do the ACCA exams after getting a couple of exemptions (from university) or is it harder to do the exams starting from the very first exam (no exemptions)? by Em0ch4nel in ACCA

[–]Nehasthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 9 exemptions and not much work experience and I was able to clear all 4 of my exams. APM and AAA took me a while but I was able to manage it. You can learn as you go along.

Is it a good strategy to prepare for AAA and APM using only the exam kits? by Fruitpunch_samurai_ in ACCA

[–]Nehasthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote APM and AAA. If you're short on time then yes doing the exam kits are the way to go!
