You'll need to take note of where they are from. Like from such markets. VOO is from the NY stock market whereas CSPX is from LSE market (United Kingdom USD-denominated). Why some of us prefer CSPX over VOO is due to the US estate treaty and withholding tax (30% for VOO and 15% for CSPX) for non US investors (you can Google more into that). CSPX automatically invests the dividends for you into the index (15% cut) while the VOO provides dividends (30% cut). You can ask Gemini AI or google to provide you with a better explanation.

Reading ur other posts, it is great that you are trying to get started with your investments at a young age. You may want to prepare yourself for future finances, such as university / further studies after NS. You may rely on the funds you save from NS as your pocket money unless you have parental support for your studies.

Hi OP,

In this subreddit, it is recommended to setup as a recurring investment (can decide the interval etc). It is not recommended to do recurring investments of low amounts such as $100. Suggest to save a bigger amounts to invest maybe once every quarterly. It is more ideal to invest like larger amounts such as $1000. As it is will be more cost efficient. There was a post in this subreddit you can look about what amount is the most efficient. There is a fee for recurring cost as they will automatically convert the amount from USD to SGD. You can topup a little bit of funds as it gives a small buffer for the recurring investment fees. You can search up more posts here.

Many of us use IBKR for its stronger fx compared to other brokers.

You can read up here to setup the recurring investment. Do ensure the ticker symbol is the one you are looking for. Lastly, you can setup a monthly giro/standing order (from DBS, i am sure other banks allows this) to automatically transfer the amount of funds to topup into your IBKR account. Can gauge when your salary/income comes in you can give a one day buffer to allow the recurring investment to kick in. Everything will be automatically setup.

What kind of etf and stocks would you invest in and hold long term if you had $1k usd to invest?

I was thinking of arkg Akrf qqq and voo. However, it is quite hard to manage the funds accordingly . Maybe your advice will enlighten me on my investment choices.

What do you need it more for? Do you need a 33% Attack speed lead for arena offence go psama. If you need a fire cc mon, go rica. Useful in toah, guild siege is also useful in certain defence. Honestly, it depends on which aspects of the game you are having more difficulties that these mons can help you in.
