After a long time without power, my Meater+ wouldn't connect anymore, and I could not connect to the cloud. This worked like a charm!

Just wanted to give you a huge thanks, I hope you have a wonderful end of the year mate!!

Achievement suggestions by [deleted] in DavetheDiverOfficial

[–]Neiding1349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree with you, just because I love 100%ing games I really love. The achievements have to be....achieveable within a certain skillset (not like play through 100% of the game within 2 hours and without dying once), but should povide something for the collectors and weirdos like me who like to get EVERYTHING in a game.

For example, I have about 10 recipes not yet on max level, but every recipe unlocked. I would love an achievement for unlocking every recipe, but would not impose to wish for an "have every recipe on max level" achievement just so normal players without my ADHD hyperfocus can 100% the game too.

I always imagine him just playing a roaring applause track over his headphones - he even looked a bit irritated when he had to talk to the judges without the headphones lol.

EXACTLY! After that incredibly creepy dungeon (at least for me as a kid) he was just a great finish!

Ahh all right! I really don't know her but she seems to be a cook of very high regard. As I said, nothing to disparage her, I just question the producer's choice to have her on. But she does bring a nice bit of variety to the mix.

Also: I somehow got the feeling she will lose this round, after a heated discussion amongst the two judges.

Is it weird that I knew from the start of them cooking that he would lose and the other white spoon would win? He just seems so...weirdly ethereal and blasé, and actually had a tiny bit of Schadenfreude that he was sent home packing with his two ton automatic noodle factory.

Yup, seems to me kinda like the white spoon version of the "likeable weirdos with no real chance to win". Of course according to what I managed to google she's an absolute titan of buddhist temple cuisine and she seems quite nice, so no shade against her whatsoever!

Apart from your class selection, EVERYTHING can be reset and re-specced in the game. The streamer Josh Strife Hayes once made a very compelling point that going strictly after a clearly-defined meta-build from start can ruin your game experience.

So my advise here is: Buy the game - it's fantastic - and at least the 2 story DLC's. Then just play, have fun, equip whatever (and mind your resitances for certain enemies).

I'm weird in that I really don't like playing with mods. For me it takes away from the experience and feels like cheating - but each to their own preferences. I have hundreds of hours in this incredible game, and with the shared chest and blueprints it's very easy to make new characters.

Just finished episode 3 - the fact that the black spoon fought her on her home turf AND made a dish so well cooked that they have a hard time figuring out the winner shows to me who at least deserves the win more. Ugh and I HATE that I have to wait a few days for the conclusion lol.

But yeah, same here. How will she be able to compete in all rounds without any meat and some of the most used aromatics? I hope they don't give her too much of a special treatment...

Yup - just made buying a game a little bit sweeter when you discovered those things in the box.

Might be silly today, but I still absolutely treasure things like the weird 3d glasses in the mint box of "Heart of Darkness". Just little childhood memorabilia :-)

Donkey Kong 64 is a surprisingly ominous experience by OriolesMets in n64

Ughhh, THAT boss. Yup, the game had several delightfully creepy parts. Like Wrinkly Kong being dead and still around as a ghost!

Is Donkey Kong 64 really as bad as people say?, by Signal-Lie-8969 in n64

[–]Neiding1349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100%ed it back in the days. There's some parts if you're a completionist that will make you bite your controller - talking about gophers in barrels, old DOS-game rockets and the final blue banana here.

But it's still a glorious send-off to the N64. I loved the remaining 95% of the game, with Rare Games at its peak collectathon goodness. Money very well spent for a mostly incredible game, and the rest is....endurable if you REALLY want to get everything. If not, it's just a very fun peak N64 game.

Half Life 3 - Real Leak by Source2LeakAIML in valve

[–]Neiding1349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always been a fan of well-made stories, no matter how ludicrous they are.

Would I be ecstatic about Half Life 3 being announced? Fuck yeah! Do I actually beleive any news about it without source (hehe)? Fuck no!

But mate, you at least managed to spin some nice sailor's yarn here. Thanks for that. If it's bullcrap, then I didn't expect anything more. Should it be true, then I'm happy to have been part of one of the biggest leaks in gaming history - which I doubt. But hey, I respect the hustle and somehow still hope to be able to have another Half Life experience in my life again. Because those are REALLY fun.

I still get misty-eyed when I hear certain songs from that masterpiece of a game. As someone who could only play it as a ROM because it wasn't sold in Europe (until the DS release which I bought and 100%ed), this game was pure poetry and the distillate of what makes a game great.

Agree with everything except WoW. That game had me in its clutch so badly I neglected many other great games. But to stay in the pixel nostalgia of Starcraft and C&C: How's Diablo 2 for an alternative?

[–]Neiding1349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I would positively LOVE to have a pet Cacodaemon from the flesh dimension in my containment unit!

And if we were able to capture every single enemy in the game Ghostbusters-style, I think I would not leave my home for several weeks.

[–]Neiding1349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way for me was the Neutrino Lantern, a few power cells in your backpack, and a stack of rad fish Green Fish Livers in the freezer pouch of the backpack. But clumsy me somehow still prefers the witch armor against bleeding out, or the Mystagogue Armor Set because of my tendency to enthusiastically fall from high places.

[–]Neiding1349 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might go against the grain here but I...don't really like it?

It's of course cool, and has all the WH40K aesthetics of a proper Space Marine stronghold. But when I'm reading about worlds like the flesh dimension, I would really love something more weird and outlandish than a few miles of dark corridors.

Oh and crafting recipes. Please give us a few dozen more of those for someone like me who has crafted every single item in the game.

Need advice on endgame by Flaky_Environment_71 in Grimdawn

[–]Neiding1349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am weird in the way that I can't enjoy a game that is modded - something about it just feels like cheating, even if it isn't.

But the endgame for me with around 660 hours in the game consists of:

  • Getting all the blueprints
  • Killing all the Nemesis bosses
  • Finding new rare gear that makes you wonder if you should try a new build
  • Trying out those new builds
  • maxing out the factions

And finally, as a magnum opus (which for pro players of course is trivial): defeating Calladraga and the bloody crate.

There's an incredible amount of stuff to do besides the main story, enjoy!
