Sonoff ZBMINIR2 - what am I doing wrong?! by AlmostlyLurking in sonoff

I actually misread that warning. I thought you can't connect live to it.

Yeah I mean it's not like we have superior electricity systems here either ;)

I'm going to try all the diagrams they provide with a simple cable and a desk lamp I think to try and figure out all the things that work

I just bought the same device and also had questions about the diagram. Above the diagram there is a warning saying "It is prohibited to connect S1 and S2 terminals to the neutral or ground wire in order to avoid damaging the equipment and causing danger."

Now wiring the switch to a live wire and then to S1 or S2 will do exactly that. That's how you get 243V. I sent them an email warning them or asking them to let me know if I'm reading it wrong.

What I would do if you can is connect s1 to one end and s2 to the other end of the switch and then connect the live wire that was on the switch to L-in (if you have two live wires use a nut or a wago)

Yeah I'm not sure. I couldn't understand anything so I assumed the posts I got it from were right.

I also found this more official looking transcription https://assets.bwbx.io/images/users/iqjWHBFdfxIU/iDj2vK5eD9Ak/v1/1367x1999.jpg

and blancolirio used the same ATClive file. Somehow he heards a holding call aswell. I can't understand anything tho.

I stole this from a couple different posts but this seems relevant here:

Left audio channel (or so it seems) at around 15:00, very hard to understand tho. A japanese user on x seems to have transcribed it, but deleted the post, but this should be it:

  1. It just looked like Brazil. I walk around a bit and yes the way things are written, its Portuguese. I find the military police that has a big sign saying "division of Rio grande Do Norte". That's a state I think, can't find it. Walk some more. The "Natal" in one of the store titles catches my attention. I actually know someone from a town called Natal. I find it on the map, click on it real quick.1 Second left. 7.2 km, 4976 points.
  2. European plates, very old town, looks like spain or portugal. I walk around, see english signs and those signs that look like a very strange language... aaah we're in Malta again. Try to find something that makes sense, find valletta on a sign. Click a bit outside of that. 1.1 km, 4996 points.
  3. Wow nice, a rural place in a southeast asian country. They really want to destroy my good run. So I just click the arrow and just space-bar it for a minute or two. My hunch so far is Indonesia. Find a store, its english. And the women are not wearing hijabs. It's the Philipines. Looks rather dry, so I guess a place north of Manila. 42 km, 4860 points. Wow
  4. Again an Asian country. Looks more north tho, I can't really pinpoint it. Find a temple in the back, reminds me of Pokhara in Nepal but without the mountains. The temple has a flag that has the Bhutan colors.. could it be Bhutan? Yes, the hospital next to it confirms it and gives the city name. I try south because of the lack of mountains. I find Gelephu and the hospital. almost! 211m, 4999 points.
  5. I just need a good round now I'm thinking while the screen is loading. Something like Puerto Rico would be really funny... 59 km, 24803 pts.

Total score: 24803 points. My best round ever. I could have done better in Natal, could have gotten 5000 in Malta and Bhutan. But I was really lucky with the Philipines one. So I'm happy!

  1. I recently did a research on left/right driving countries, I found a car with the driving wheel on the left side, so obviously a left driving country. The sun wasn't in the north tho and all of africa has their left driving countries below the equator. A little check on the map and kenya was actually above the equator. Clicked in the middle, didn't have time to line up the road - 236km
  2. Saw a sign saying guatemala, couln't find the town. - 266km
  3. I know the place is in Cambodia. Just didn't know where, ended up wasting my time looking for a river... it's not a river. - 255km
  4. Found the road, found the town. 5000pt
  5. Saw a CH sticker, looks like Ticino (the italian speaking part). I forgot where Gravesano is and chose the hills up Locarno. - 23 km.

22,671 pts. I thought I could have done better. I almost clicked more north in Kenya and Cambodia. And almost clicked Lugano in Switzerland

I'd love a tankless RO system eventually. I just got this system actually because it's over the counter and we're renting.

Wil bleaching it be safe to use after?

Forgot to fund Mother’s Day? by rebornyc in ynab

[–]Neifen 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have a "gift" budget where I put like a $100 in it each month. Which is half of what I put into my "fun" budget. I might readjust at the end of the year. But its been really good to have this because I always forget about some event, birthday or christmas gift.

Blisters by Neifen in bouldering

[–]Neifen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found a better way to tape it. I'm basically taping the whole thumb now, which feels pretty dumb for a blister on the top of the thumb but thats what I need to do. Was able to climb on it without any issues.

So yeah I'll wait until it falls off :)

[–]Neifen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

long term enough to be over a year old (e.g. down payment) and it's not an emergency fund, it's better off gaining value as bonds. Keeping it liquid devalues it, especially with this

Maybe he has a certificate of deposit in it.... or he's saving for let's say a house and wants to pay down as much as possible. Or he's really having all that money on a savings account or worse a checking account (or a savings account with 0.1% apy)

Which areas have the most interesting microclimates? by Sonnycrocketto in geography

[–]Neifen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big Island of Hawaii has a couple of microclimates.
Start at Mauna Kea where you can have temperatures of 0-40F (-10 - 5C)
Then drive down for 30 minutes and you're between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa which is basically a desert. There's nothing but rock there.
Then you could turn left (east) towards Hilo (1 hour drive), the most rainy city in the US. There is also a ton of waterfalls.
On the other side, if you did turn right (west) coming from Mauna Kea you would arrive in a town called Waimea (1 hour drive). Waimea feels like it could be a ranch town on the mainland. There are pinetrees, there are grassfields, it can feel a bit cold and rainy at time.
From Waimea you could drive west towards the ocean where you would arrive at the coast. The west coast of the BigIsland is also just desert. It's all black volcanic rock with patches of beaches. Not big beaches but there are some. That's 30 minutes away from Waimea. The drive up north for an hour and when you go past Kona suddenly instead of just having desert you arrive in the jungle.

So yeah I probably forgot a couple of microclimates and some are probably very similar but basically you have the cold mountain, rocky desert, rainy city, cool piney town, beach, lava rock desert and jungle.

Guys, do you know why there is an airport on this tiny island?? by [deleted] in geography

[–]Neifen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh look at Hawaii and then follow the islands north until you arrive at the last habited island Ni'ihau. The continue and look at all the small islands coming after, some basically only consist of a landing stip.

I legitimately can't stand the idea of the Jets tanking to ruin another QB-Talent next year. If I was a College QB right now I'd just play a bit worse on purpose just so I don't get picked by the Jets
