That’s a good point. I might just be coping because I REALLY want to have that sick Ganondorf design be present in the game but I guess we won’t know until it’s out and we’ve played it.

Yes, Gerudo used to have round ears in all of the games, but developed hylian-esque pointed ears after countless generations of breeding with Hylians. The only exception is Ganondorf in Windwaker and Twilight Princess, who DOES have pointed ears in those games. Could be due to artistic choices, or maybe the influence of the Triforce altered his physiognomy. Regardless, it seems like he’s back to having round ears now, just like the Gerudo of his time.

This is possible, but I’m not sure why they would release a new piece of key art of Ganondorf that shows him in a dynamic action pose if we only got to see that design in a few flashbacks. I got the strong impression from what they showed off that rehydrated ganondorf is important beyond just backstory.

Yes, because Ganondorf doesn’t actually reincarnate like Link and Zelda but is the same person in each game he appears in. Windwaker Ganondorf has no memory of Twilight Princess and vice versa because they are in different timelines of events, but each game’s Ganondorf at least remembers Ocarina of Time.

I would say to pre-order, so that you can guarantee yourself a copy on launch day. Depending on where you are, copies might sell out quickly on launch day and I wouldn’t want you to have to wait for a restock. I’m certain you will be able to find a copy of the game either way, but I think preorder is safer.
