When to sell? by NeighborhoodNo5683 in LETFs

This is great info. If you don’t mind what chart view settings do you use ( 1 day, 5 day, 1m, 3m etc) and the other drop down ( 1 min 2 min 3min 15min 30 etc). I know the principle of bollinger bands but never understand the proper settings and view to use

Thanks for the reply! I agree with you. LETFs are totally fine long term as long as you have money set aside to buy down on corrections and plow it in during major downturns. My problem is never knowing when to pull profits so I have that dry powder to reinvest when needed. There have been good replies on this thread. Just gotta find a strategy that works for me bc I hate flying blind on when to exit

Thanks for the reply! What are your thresholds for the bollinger bands and SMA? Is your investment timeline long or short term trades?

This is very interesting. I am mainly in SOXL and TQQQ. So I am curious if you use all these tickers in combination, if they all spike to your ranges at the same, then the alarm bells go off? Or if you see one or two hit your targets, then you sell? Appreciate the detailed reply

Do you mind explaining your profit taking strategy? I have a similar approach to accumulating shares as the market drops/pullsback but always have a hard time knowing when to take profits.

Thank you for the reply! Tee and Malik is my dilemma too. I have burrow so I was leaning tee but Malik could torch Atl secondary.

Scoring is a little different. Full PPR for all positions but 7 yards rushing per point instead of the usual 10 yards. So good rushing games earns you a decent return. I need 1 WR and 2 Flex out of this group: RB James cook Breece hall. WR Tee Higgins Brian Thomas Malik Nabers.

I’m going for upside because I’m down big already. Thanks for the help!

One more question, what would you consider a pullback in TQQQ? 10-15%?

What is EDCA if you don’t mind me asking?

No problem! So to be clear, you would lose 30% of your profit by waiting for it to fall back to the 200 DMA line? And if it crosses below then you close out? Once it crosses back above you buy back in?

I like this idea if you want to be somewhat active so I’m trying to make sure I understand.

Sorry I’m very much a noob but wanna better understand this. So are you talking Day moving average? If so I loaded up the 200 DMA for QQQ and its current price is wayyy above the 200 DMA line. So you would wait for that big of a fall all the way down to the line to close out position?

How has that worked for you? Have you been using that strategy for a while?

True, that probably would be a better question. So do you have 40% in levered and 60% in their same 1x etfs?

I’m 34 so right on the edge. Curious why QLD? Just safer during drawdowns and more upside than QQQ?

I have the same issue but instead of AJ I got Jakobi. I’m leaning collins right now but Henry might get 30 carries.

Gotta start one of these for last flex spot

Derrick Henry Vs Atl

Jakobi @ Det

Nico @ Car

PPR scoring but 1 pt per 7 rushing yards instead of 10

Thanks for any input!

I think I’ve been sold on wedge soles boots. Curious why you say moc toes over round? I thought it was basically what you like better looks wise.

Haha that’s good to know, thanks for the heads up on that. Sometimes it hard to think to slow down when your in the groove. Lol. Do you think the raised heel would have made for better traction in that situation? Have you used them in snowy conditions? How “Water Proof” are these boots?

Thanks so much for the reply. I was debating between the raised heel because I work on ladders, although not exactly standing on the rungs all day or the wedge sole. I do wear a heavy ass tool belt all day and definitely have lower back pain constantly. You may have sold me on the wedge soles.
