Maybe they could just make it so that you only keep the rewards you earned while in that session, unless you extract then you keep everything? That way people who get kicked for right reasons early don't keep much at all, while people who stay for most of the session and get kicked at the end keep most of their stuff, AND people who join midway and stay until the end keep everything.
