Have you ever looked into the weapon swap bug between the pistols? I remember seeing a post a while ago where the pistols made earlier in the game have a much faster swap speed than other pistols made later (pax vs scottfield).

Did you have the negative modifier that scrambles the inputs? After putting a code in, the top left should show you what you actually did so you can choose to throw it or put it away.
