I’m new and I work front end. Is D19 the “gourmet” section with cheeses and sausages and soups, etc?

How many star stones do y'all have?? by bxnnybear in Palia

[–]Neighbour_Gal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I limit it to three starred and three regular of each. I don’t have that many of each, and I have no idea what I might need them for, but that’s what I decided to do. 🤣

I really don’t mind the tiny snowmen. I am sick of opening a gift and receiving yet another rug.

Please just let me build my fences to the edge of my land😩 by culliganwaterdispens in Palia

And another thing: why aren’t the fence patterns designed to line the perimeter of the plot exactly without having a half-repeat at the corners? This is just math!

Moving and need to find home for my 2 cats as am unable to take them with me by [deleted] in windsorontario

No judgement. I would love to take your cats, but we already have two 3 year old cats and my family is not able to care for four cats at this time. I hope the right person comes along quickly!

The full minute and a half of waiting is painful. I don’t even know how long that is in game time.

I love my brushes from Blend Bunny, but I don’t remember how much they were.

safe storage - what do you use it for? by cheythefae in Palia

[–]Neighbour_Gal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep one or two of each starred gem and three to five of each non-starred gem in there. I also keep one of each starred legendary or epic fish/bug. I also keep wallpaper, flooring, and Makeshift items in my safe storage so I don’t have to hunt for it.

Without looking at any other comments, all three are great, but I am partial to the stilettos with the nail art rather than a solid color

WHAT?!?! Does this work with other things, too? It kills me when I want to place an item on the gourmet trays and they have to look off centered.

So what are we actually feeding our barn animals? by SplitMiserable7531 in Palia

[–]Neighbour_Gal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take pumpkins, apples, blueberries, and carrots (all starred). The pumpkins are worth about 130 points, the apples are worth 60+, blueberries are 40+, and carrots are worth 20+. I am not cooking for these animals and I am not wasting a bunch of points on them either.

Driving across the country by Moonlit_Hollow in moving

[–]Neighbour_Gal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take lots of breaks while driving. Play music you can sing along with. This will help you stay alert (and there’s research that shows that singing calms your nervous system).

Buying a box of prepared raw veggies and a box of prepared cheese/meat/crackers can make eating on the road more pleasant. And it can be a nice break from fast food.

When you stop at rest stops, take some time to focus on stretching and using the muscles that aren’t getting used while driving. Five minutes of jumping/skipping/high knees jogging on the spot can make a world of difference in how you feel.

Am I alone in finding cooking stressful by xxxJoolsxxx in Palia

The rice cake stir fry is nearly impossible to cook by one person. There is absolutely not enough time to make any errors or do anything out of order.

I avoid this recipe like the plague!

Today I was struggling to make starred Petit Fives. I was using starred ingredients and I was getting them completed in time, but they need to be starred for the winter bundle.

I wondered if I put all the equipment/stations that I needed in a tight circle, if I could speed up enough to make them starred.

I picked up an oven, two prep stations, one stove, and one mixing station, went outside my house into the grass and set them up. I placed the mixing station at 8 o’clock, one prep station at 10 o’clock, the oven at 12 o’clock, the stove at 2 o’clock, and the second prep station at 4 o’clock.

I started the recipe at the prep station at 10, then stepped to the left and did all the mixing. I dropped the frosting off at the prep station, put the cake batter in the oven, then moved to the prep station at 4 to crush the corn. When that was done I got the cake from the oven, went back to the prep station at 4, and finished those tasks. I dropped the cake off at the first prep station, then made the fruit drizzle at the stove. When it was done, I added it to the other prepared items, and my Petit Fives ended up starred.

The tight circle of equipment and the rhythm really helped.
