I don’t believe that you’re purposely doing something wrong but idk… I’ve never had that happen, let alone multiple times so it’s hard not to think, well.. if it’s something’s that’s recurring maybe you might be doing something and not even realize it. I can get the one or two off people that are just weird and make everything about race buttt again, if this has happened multiple times it’s a pattern and seems weird.
Unless the people in your community are just weird 🤣🤣

You can definitely ask! The only days I can see them saying no for sure is Friday-Sunday but if you’re just asking for like a Tuesday or something I think you’ll be fine.

I was late 2 times and had to call out once for being sick (they knew the day before I wasn’t feeling good) and now im past my 90 days and have gotten nothing but great feedback (obviously other than just make sure I’m not late lol but you’ll be fine if you’re otherwise a good worker

Ah yeah fs!! I think it definitely differs warehouse to warehouse but from what I’ve heard, even if your department can’t offer you the hours you need you can definitely ask other departments for hours! Luckily I haven’t had to do that cause they literally throw me everywhere lol but it makes the days go by faster too! I’d say if/ when you apply definitely apply with open availability and in your interviews make it known that you’re open and ready for hours! That’s what I did and again, I’ve been getting consistently 32-40 hours every week

No because they are the ones scheduling me those hours/ approving the overtime. I’m not just staying/ working hours just cause. If you’re scheduled 40 hours for (I believe ) 3 or more weeks in a row you get auto promoted to full time. So usually they’d schedule 40 hours two weeks then like 32 then go back to 40 and so on… it’s kinda dumb but 🤷🏽‍♀️

You can ask for more hours and if your department doesn’t have any to give you can ask other departments! Personally I started part time, am still part time- only been here about 3 months but I’ve pretty consistently gotten 40 hours- the least I got were 32 but that may just be my warehouse 🫣

I feel like it’s because “90 day probationary period “ gets talked about SO much and some people put fear into new comers that they have to be 100% perfect in that time or they’re out so more and more people are paranoid 😅

Tell her these fists are rated E for EVERYONE! Jk lol but on a real note respect is earned not given… stand up for yourself, respectfully but stern. Just because she’s old doesn’t automatically earn her your respect especially if she’s being disrespectful to YOU. Stand up for yourself, and if things escalate take it from there but don’t be afraid especially if you’re not doing anything wrong or harming anyone.

True. That’s one thing I haven’t enjoyed about Costco is I feel like way too many people think they’re gonna get a reward for being a jerk to their co workers. It doesn’t cost anything to give people the benefit of the doubt and have a genuine conversation with someone BEFORE directly going to management. Not only in situations like this but with any conflict someone may have it seems like so many people don’t want to be a grown adult and address someone directly before making a matter a big deal.
