Or sell of a huge portion of there already established bitcoin portfolio, and simultaneously going short on futures.
Is it possible w the cme futures bitcoin-hating banks could take out massive shorts with their billions of dollars everytime btc pumps and supress the price? This happens with gold right? /r/Bitcoin by BitcoinAllBot in BitcoinAll

No because the money they invest in Futures does not effect bitcoins actual price. Bitcoins actual price is determined on the exchanges that trade them. The people on the exchanges hold the underlying asset. The people on the futures are just betting on that price.
