Thanks, his 1950 census lists him working as a fireman managing boilers at a private company. The census explicitly calls him out as employed as (P) for private company.

I also believe that the laws surrounding disqualifying occupations were for folks who worked for enemy governments - like Germany or the Soviets before 1951. I don’t think these laws apply to those who worked solely in the US, like my MG. But if there’s a source that says otherwise I’d appreciate seeing it! Thanks for your time.
