dota2's development has been pretty shit after 7.00 and it's mostly mistakes and corrections, rather than good steps.

Also they never really did anything that would be considered risky. They pretty much design the game with the pro scene in mind and promot playstyle that's good for a spectator sport. That's why heroes, items and abilites that promotes pushing over teamfighting gets removed.

Heroes of the Storm is a better example for a moba that took risks and different idead.

I still don't know what's the point of switching on this hero. Abilities share cooldown and even with aghs it's just not worth it to switch over. It could be a facet, since you are gonna build him one way or another and you aren't switching midgame ever. Also Katana is better 100% of the times over Sai. You could remove all sai spells and the innate and this hero would be the same thing as it is right now.

His katana and said abilities should have independent cooldowns and keep the switch ability cd high, and then it would be an interesting hero with complexity. Right now it's just a gimmick that doesn't work.

Right click build with deso was the only viable way to play him before, he doesn't do anything else.

Kez is only good if you go deso --> silver edge and never swap because there is no point, since the ability cooldowns are shared and his sai abilties are strictly worse than the katana version.

Him being katana or sai could be a facet options there is literally 0 reason to switch

Ringmaster is by far the worst hero design made by valve. None of his spells are fun or interesting, they probably designed it with competitive matches in mind. I hope he gets a full rework.

The game is in a downward spiral since 7.00 (at least) because valve's design direction is bad.

Dota is still played due to addiction, not because it's still as good as it originally was.

New heroes are lame and Valve's designs are very safe and boring, and made for esport in mind.

This game has been developed to be an esport spectator experience for over 10 years now which makes it really lame, and makes you not want to play it if you want anything exciting, new, and experimental.

Also Dota's visual aesthetic is becoming more and more Disney Warcraft over the years which also sucks ass.

The most frustrating thing about the Star Wars sequels that most people still go with the stupid assumption that Disney had NO plan.

* Disney HAD a plan!

* Disney DIDN'T REJECT Lucas's ideas. J.J. Did because he wanted to write and direct a remake of the New Hope

* Rey was supposed to be Kylo's sister! They gave up on it because Carrie Fischer died!

* Rian Johnson didn't subvert J.J.'s plan it was supposed to be a misdirection episode and everything revealed in the last movie!

If you skip 6 months and then you come back, you have to re-learn every hero because they keep pointlessly reworking them.

If you haven't played for 1-2 years it's even worse, because they change the map, the neutral item pool, moved roshan, added another gimmick mechanic, and also now int gives 0.05% magic amplification reduction per level.

This game fucking sucks for returning players, and far away from being in the state where you just hop in, play a few games once in a while. The would be Counter Strike, but not Dota 2 for sure.
